I believe Diss is the only station to be served solely by Class 745s. Similarly, Stourbridge Town is the only station to be served solely by Class 139s.

Does anyone know other examples of stations served only by one type of train, where there are no other stations solely served by that class?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Pewsey was the only station to be served solely by HSTs until 2017. It is now served by both 800 and 802 trains.

I guess you could also say that Heathrow Terminal 5 was the only station served solely by Class 332 until recently.

Edit: Stratford International is the only station to be served solely by Class 395, unless you will count the DLR

Emerson Park is also now the only station to be solely served by Class 315, as other Lea Valley Lines see 710 use and TFL Rail is predominately a 345 operation now.

Does Diss no longer see the occasional 321?

Can add Ayr to Stranraer to the list, don’t think it will have seen anything other than 156s for a good many years.

The West Highland line is served only by the class 156, and Mossley - Slaithwaite on the Manchester - Huddersfield stretch only by 185s. Uckfield branch only 171s. There are many. Most GA rural lines only see 755s.

All stations north of Inverness, served only by 158s
All stations on the Cambrian west of Shrewsbury, served only by 158s
Conwy Valley & Borderlands lines, served only by 150s
Polesworth & Atherstone are served only by 350s, as are Penkridge, Winsford & Hartford.

I believe that Lockerbie is only served by 397s

Most of these responses don't meet the OP's criteria of being the ONLY station to just be served by a particular class.

One possible candidate is Cardiff Bay which I think could be the only station purely served by 153s.

Thought about Cardiff Bay, but wondered if it occasionally gets a Pacer or 150.

Lockerbie is also served by 390s and 221s.

Isle of Wight line Ryde- Shanklin served by class 483 (1938 LT tube stock)

The only line using them until the end of the year..!

This is exactly the point yes, and ah! I did not think of that one
Any station between Edenbridge Town - Uckfield. Sole traction being class 171 Turbostars.
That’s not one station though...

As the OP, can I just clarify I am interested in stations that are UNIQUE in being only served by certain classes. As in - if it’s more than one station, I don’t see why this is significant? For example, so what if all the stations on the Cambrian Line are served only by 158s? Lots of stations are only served by 158s. :) I mean stations indeed like Cardiff Bay - no other station is only served by 153s.

:)

Are stations on the Barton on Humber line served by anything but 153s currently?

I have meet the criteria as I have mentioned stations that only have one type of class calling, and my previous post illustrates that, therefore I stand by that.
That wasn’t the question. They have to be the “only stations”, as per the thread title where the word “only” appears twice. Please see post #22 where clarification has now been provided.

466 specifically, so unique in that respect - but 2 stations not 1.
One station. Bromley North is only served by 466s (is it?). No unit type can only serve one station. The question is are there no other stations only served by 466s.

Seems the OP's question would be a great one for a psychometric test as so many seem to have failed to understand it! :)

Isn’t that what we were always reminded before exams? Whatever you do, make sure you understand the question...
