Allerton station, which is now LPY did get 1 on 1, 2 on 2 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 but the latter two was uncommon to rare.
Now its Liverpool South the only thing it doesnt get is 1 on 1 and 5 on 5

12 coach 377s depart from Platform 12, 10 coach 455/456s depart from Platform 10 and 5 coach 458s depart from Platform 5 at Clapham Junction.

With Queen Street, certainly platforms 3 and 4 have hosted trains that length. Similarly platforms 2 & 3 at Stirling have no doubt seen trains that long too, platform 2 not so much now, but a 3 car heading south to Glasgow or Edinburgh has been since 170s were introduced and continues to be common with 385/0s supplementing.

I think 3-car Networker Turbostar units leave Oxford Platform 3 for the service to Didcot and back sometimes. However, these are often 2-car units IIRC as well.

I want to say the 1732 Greater Anglia service from London Liverpool Street to Clacton-on-Sea is formed of 12 coaches and departs from platform 12.

There are certainly services at Euston with 12 cars from platform 12. Not 11 from 11 as it's a suburban only platform, I doubt a Pendolino has ever been in there, and 10-car from 10 wouldn't fit, it's a short platform.

Sadly I don't think the Cally ever uses platform 16 otherwise that would probably be your answer.

Peterborough - with it's 1-car Class 153 train to Lincoln - that's normally rammed full......

Thankfully, that has now changed!

Does Platform 5 at Peterborough ever see five car Azumas? (i.e. not doubled up)

Dundee often will see a two-car in 2, a three-car in 3 and a four-car at 4 at the same time. But there are no single-car trains up here for platform 1.

Another thought: it could happen at Stockport, where there are frequently 4-car 142/15x formations in P4, a 323 stabled in P3a, a 185 in P3, a 2-car 142/15x in P2 and nothing in P0. All that's missing is a single car, but they do occasionally move solo freight locos through P1, if that counts.

Brockenhurst platform 4 is used exclusively (at least as far as I know) by 4 car trains as far as scheduled workings go.

Would it be cheeky to say Stourbridge Town Platform 1 always has a 1 car unit?

Although I’ve never seen it, it theoretically could have happened at Exeter St David’s in the past. 153 on Platform 1, 2 car DMU stabling on Platform 2, 143 + 153 on Platform 3, Voyager or 2 x 2 car DMU on Platform 4, Voyager in Platform 5 and 3 x 2 car DMU stabling on Platform 6.

Like I said, never seen it happen but more likely to have happened at that station than some others.

Crewe, platform 11 with VT services to Liverpool and Scotland. Also, platform 8 occasionally has an 8 car LNWR service in it.

What is now Platform 7 at Crewe used to regularly have 7-car lash-ups of 2 3-car Cross Country sets plus a bubble car (not for public use). But it was Platform 4B in those days !

Portsmouth and Southsea P4?
Platform 4's the stopper to Waterloo, and I haven't seen many 4 car 450s on that one!

3 car 313s terminating at Portsmouth & Southsea (from Littlehampton) use Platform 3, although there's usually a 4 car 450 in between it and the buffer.

I imagine so - but in how many of those places does Platform 1 see a 1 car train?

Bradford Interchange if it's a 153 instead of a 144 working the Huddersfield. Platform one is that services designated platform which is also the longest at BDI.

Stoke regularly has a 1-car 153 in platform 1, occasionally has a 2-car 15x in platform 2 and regularly has a 3-car 323 in platform 3.

Not at the same time, however.

The 153’s are no more-at least on their own anyway.

I don't think 3A is routinely used for stabling, when I last looked at realtimetrains the only moves I found were the weekly stalybridge service and some late night empty coaching stock moves that reversed in 3A on their way from Manchester to Stockport carriage sidings.

You're right... it was more common before Dec. 2019 where a 323 was often stabled for a few hours in the evenings. Still, it didn't happen every day (possibly on one of those "Runs as required" moves?). I didn't think to check if this had changed since.

Occasionally, yes - normally when P4 is occupied by either a late running service or an ECS Thameslink/GN train awaiting a path back to Nene Carriage Sidings.

Bradford interchange only has four platforms and 1,2, 3 and 4 unit services so it will happen there on a daily basis. The single unit always uses platform 1.
