Arjun Rajyagor
Has won Series One the BBC's Junior Apprentice!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/jnr/series1/arjun-rajyagor.shtml said:
The Final: Arjun wins Junior Apprentice...
Arjun was paired with Tim as joint Project Manager and asked to create the branding and advertising campaign for a bottle of water. Previously famed for being a ‘calculator basher’, Arjun impressed Karren Brady with his creative skills by taking control of the filming of the advert. Choosing the shoots and directing the actors, Arjun unleashed his flair to show that he was more than just a ‘mathematics man’. During the pitch for the brand ‘A Bottle of Water’, Arjun handled the questions about the simplicity of the brand with confidence. In the boardroom, Arjun detailed his past achievements in various business ventures, from being a head prefect to fixing computers from his house. As the tension mounted, Lord Sugar announced Arjun as the first Junior Apprentice winner.
Sir Alan (*coughs*) Lord Sugar said

"Gentlemen, you leave me with an impossible dilemma"

"It's a tough choice and I'm not 'gonna worry about the runner up - because I know that the runner up is going to succeed anyway"

"But because there has to be a winner... Arjun You're the Winner of Junior Apprentice 2010"

See http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/jnr/series1/index4.shtml for the 'You're Hired' clip!

What are your Views on this series?

One of mine is that all the people fired during the program get a ride in 'AMS1' and so does the winner - but not the Losing Team in the Final or the Runner Up!

Have you any Idea when the "The Apprentice" will be airing?

It was on tonight, probably so that they couldn't clash with the football next week

I enjoyed it, and Arjun was the rightful winner (although I thought that Kirsty, the Scottish candidate, would also have been deserving of the prize). Not quite as good as the big boys and girls, but it's a shorter series and these people have less experience, so you would expect it to be slightly less engaging.

Yeah, it was aired so it'd finish before the football.

Was originally meant to be the final on Wednesday (9th) but because of the hung parliament, they left it a week

Ive been following this programme for the last couple of weeks (I'm a fan of the original) and have to say overall its OK. The things I don't like however is that the loser always travels in AMS1 (as already pointed out) and that before he fires each candidate its all hugs and kisses:roll:

My best moment so far is in the episode on wednesday when the mouth of that arrogant snooty blonde cow just droped to the floor when she heard how much £££ the other team took! Classic:lol:

While there is a case for being sure of ones self in buisness, I hate the level of arrogance some of these people display!

I am sure the girls rode in AMS1 when they left? They didn't show the runner up leaving in the main program so we don't know if he did or not :D

I too was glad that the 'snooty blonde cow' didn't win! Arjun was a worthy winner, really kept it together. I do agree there were a few arrogant hotheads in the show, or am I too old and out of touch? (over 60). The adult series is usually good for a watch - great to see some of the overblown egos deflated when they lose LOL!

All the kids went in AMS1. Perhaps they thought it wouldn't look good sending 16 and 17 year olds in taxis "unaccompanied". Besides, as Sir Alan continually pointed out, none of them are losers. They all did very well to get this far...

The runner up probably didn't get a shot in AMS1. They only use the taxi/AMS1 to go around the block a few times and film their piece anyway.

The blonde one was truly horrible. Not only was she really snooty and b*tchy (for want of a better word), but it got in the way of the tasks to the point that she just wasn't a good candidate. How she got to the final is beyond me.

She wasn't excellent TV. She was painful to watch. In my opinion, anyway.

Which is precisely why she was good TV.

Good TV doesn't mean you enjoy or like what is going on.

I'll have to catch it on iPlayer then. :p

I liked Arjun, he was pretty cool, but watching Zoe was just painful.

I also love the way Nick just pulls that sort of disgusted expression! :D

I've just found some interesting information here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/jnr/series1/workings.shtml
Warning the above link's landing page contains some 'spoiler' information.

Including the answers to:

Is the boardroom really Sir Alan’s boardroom?
How does Lord Sugar decide who the winner is?
What happens to the finalists between the shoot and the transmission of the series?

Don't read it if you haven't watched the box yet!

They are very open as to how the process actually works, unlike Simon Cowell's shows where he threatens to sue people who reveal the truth.

In the real show, he actually hires both of the finalists for a few months and he makes a decision which is also based on that period of employment. They film two endings and he decides which candidate wins the day before the broadcast.
