Two men have died after being hit by a train on the line between Bridgend and Port Talbot.
British Transport Police said they were pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a train at around 10am.
The two men who died were a 58-year-old man from North Cornelly and a 64-year-old man from Kenfig Hill who were working on the railway lines at the time.
A third railway worker was treated at the scene for shock but was uninjured.
Superintendent Andy Morgan from British Transport Police said the two men who died were wearing ear defenders at the time and did not hear the train approaching.
If this is true the BTP just tweeted about it

My point was about track workers and linking the two things together. Why would the BTP tweet something that isn't true?
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-48854010Two rail workers have died after three people were hit by a train between Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend stations.
Network Rail said the incident happened just before 10:00 BST near Margam and investigations were ongoing.
Transport for Wales said all lines were blocked and services running through the stations may be cancelled or delayed and disruption was expected until 12:00.
The Wales Ambulance Service confirmed it was in attendance.
A Rail Accident Investigation Branch spokesman said: "We are aware of an incident between Port Talbot and Pyle. Two inspectors are now travelling to site gather evidence."
Thoughts to the families, the train operator and all involved. Hopefully RAIB can ensure that their deaths are not to be repeated; no one should have to suffer an avoidable accident at work and it's incumbent on all of us to work to that goal.
Reports are coming in that 3 trackworkers have been struck by a train in South Wales. Hope they are ok. Can't find any more on this yet.
It's hard to imagine how this could happen. Condolences to the families of the workers.

Some of the news sites have stated that they've been told that the signaller wasn't aware that there were workers on the line for some reason. However I would stress that this is very much speculation and that obviously the investigating authorities will do their work and then there'll be a clear explanation of what went wrong. Whatever the reason two people died and one was injured and the circumstances need to be examined to prevent it from happening again, as far as is practicably possible.
I'd have thought services would turn back at Port Talbot (and possibly Bridgend). But I won't go double-guessing the staff that are working to keep passengers moving, or think ill of those more directly involved in the incident.Really tragic, thoughts to all those involved.
Service wise, nothing between Cardiff and Swansea with the exception of Vale of Glamorgan that go via Llantwit and Maesteg services. Bus replacement throughout with no time for reopening. To echo what mpthomson said above, no reason why as of yet.

Service wise, from West Wales trains are starting/terminating Port Talbot, and from the other direction, services are starting/terminating Bridgend. Exceptions are Maesteg and VoG services which are running as normal. There are no GWR services operating west of Cardiff
