Are there still any Class 150's working off Tyseley? If so, does anyone know the details of their diagrams please?

There is still 3 units based at Tyseley.

One does the Marston Vale line (Bedford - Bletchley)
One does Birmingham - Worcester - Hereford
with one remaining on maintenance

The Marston Vale unit swaps on a friday night leaving at apprximately 2255 and the new unit arrives at approximately 0211.

On Saturday there were two 150s at Tyseley, is that usual on a Saturday?

Yes it is a regular Monday to Friday diagram, possibly Saturdays as well.

This is the diagram that it was working at the beginning of this year, I don’t know whether it has changed since:

0628 Worcester Shrub Hill to New St
0719 New St to Great Malvern
0838 Great Malvern to New St
0949 New St to Hereford
1140 Hereford to New St
1349 New St to Hereford
1540 Hereford to New St
1759 New St to Great Malvern

Yep, it still runs on this diagram, with 150105 on duty this week.

What has happend recently is that the 150 on the Marston Vale line has failed so LM have hustled the spare down from Tysley mid week with the recalitrant 150 being dumped in the sidings or on the depot until it can be taken away - so often we have 2/3rds of the LM 150 fleet down here!

We also got 2x150 when the 153 went U/S recently - and the line ran like clockwork! On time all week!

Why did LM keep such a small number of 150's class? Surely this is a nightmare for rostering to keep traction knowledge up?

becuase the 172's dont fit in most of the Marston Vale platforms and the local authorities pay for a unit bigger than a 153 on some of the services on that line.

Is this working still correct since the December 9th timetable change? The reason I ask is because I have passed an LM cl150 both today and yesterday at Droitwich Spa at 14:32, which according to Open Train Times correlates to the 1M87 13:43 Hereford to Birmingham New Street which isn't actually part of the above list. Any confirmation as to which diagrams the LM 150s operate would be greatly received.

Cheers

Further to this, I travelled on the 14.49 New Street - Hereford yesterday (13th) with 150105.

Indeed the diagram mentioned earlier in the thread is no longer valid, as that diagram is now operated by 2 170s. It seems you have found the new diagram but as I don't use the train at that time (at least when it's near Worcester/Droitwich), I cannot confirm what is the whole new diagram.
