Looking at it, with no consist and only one reporting time, my guess is it's not running and a signaller's out a time in for it instead of something else.

Please could someone with access to 'the magic box' have a look when allocations are posted, and tell me the allocations for tomorrow (Saturday) for 171802, 171808, 171812, 730038 and 730043.

Nothing showing for 171808 or 812.
171802 tracked down, along with 730038 (in Camden Carriage Sidings, due to OHLE incident), but I couldn't get to Brum for 730043. I made my way to platform 10 at London Bridge for the 13.07 and was confronted by 171801 and 171805 - 171812 nowhere to be seen. But I had a good day tracking down a few 720s that had been avoiding me. Hopefully I'll live long enough to see 171808 and 171812 - the hours I've spent at London Bridge and East Croydon trying to track down the 171s .....

Pleased you had at least partial success! I see 171801 and 805 ended up working that whole diagram so must have been a last minute swap before leaving the depot .
Morning all,
Today I started a very unfortunately timed week of work in London, and with nothing better to do with my time I may be able to clear a few odd units if anybody could help. If anybody is able to provide allocations (if any) for the following this afternoon I'd be very grateful indeed.

171 812 + 171 810 currently on the 11.33 Uckfield to London Bridge due 12.53
171 811 is stabled at Selhurst, if this is for sight rather than haulage try looking over the wall from the down slow platform at Selhurst - it overlooks the sidings usually used for the 171s; if not there it might be on the fuelling point and visible from trans between East or West Croydon and Norwood Junction.
387 129 + 387 222 current;y on the 11.16 Victoria to Littlehampton due 13.02

Just to say thanks again for the info earlier. I got 171812 on the later London Bridge run but unfortunately not 811. I walked around the back of Selhurst depot but there was only 1x 3-car 171 in sight and it was too far away to identify without a decent camera/binoculars. 2x 2-cars on the fuelling point, one of which was 730. Shame I missed 811 as I got my last tram at East Croydon and was hoping to not have to go back again. Something to do later in the week I suppose and finally clear my Southern units.

For next time... you'd get a better view from the location I suggested, the down slow platform at Selhurst - not the back of the depot. This is the view from peering over the wall on the platform...
Excellent to hear that you got the one that was running.

Yes cheers Peter, I did go for that first as it was the easy option but nothing was parked there today. The 171 I could see was parked down by the bottom corner of the shed.

If you post up in advance on here when you go for 171 811, I'll try to be available to see if I can see what it's running on - but no promises as I don't have access to the magic boxes...

Yes ditto, first time I've ever seen those sidings empty. Appreciate your help, I'll probably try again at the end of the week when I can get a full day and try and chase down a few other random bits & bobs around London.
