SO your saying Lothian do not have a better reputation? Really? never though I see the day lothian drive kicking in the company
If someone said my own reputation was better than my peers I think I would take it as a compliment rather than a personal attack. It's possible you've been a little sensitive to criticism that's delivered in a slightly unclear manner.
The point being made was that Lothian Country may not have lived up to their potential with the Wester Inch route. This is probably the last chance for residents there who might have claimed their previous services were poorly used due to lower quality.
Siemens seem to be more neutral in this thread: Wester Inch last roll of the dice is indeed LCB, if there can't do it that there's no hope for this area... Horseburgh pile of crap, people in Linlithgow were overjoyed when there lost the 31'xs to Sd travel recently. With First when people moved to the area ages their just remember what it like before using the nice cars etc.. Late running route, old buses etc.. Mud stick hence why First has had to double down on its efforts to win back the passengers conference, best it come up with is Cheap and very cheerful..
All we did (im not the only one ) was highlight Western Inch is not performing very well, that is hardly a personal attack especially when you give a reason for part of the problem.. Ie the estate is like a ghost town during day
Of course this is supposed to be the type of area which Lothian should do better as its got a better reputation. Of course how many of these new estate are actually busy, i dont mean passengers i mean actually people being around during the day? I bet many of these places are dead outside school holls.
From what it seems, certain people have just JUMPED and taken it as lets kick in LCB, Just because.. MUD STUCKS??? People should be happy I praise Lothian for it high reputation, we should be questioning why there's issues, doesn't mean LCB is a pile crap or they stupid for trying...
I said "how many of these new estate are actually busy, i dont mean passengers i mean actually people being around during the day " thats a good Q, if most of the people are working age or in school then Who are lothian going to pick up?? I have traveled on the 287 a few times going up to Bathgate and there is very little action happening in the scheme. Heartlands is another area which is like this, but only started to be built. While Winchburgh that bigger point, alot of new housing is being built here. The road network will not be able to cope with all this traffic so A good bus service will be badly needed over the next couple of years, and will need to convince the car traffic over of Kirkilston will become gridlocked..
I disagree, if Ex1 went via Wester Inch it could have convinced people to use the service, because walk out your door, and your straight on to a coach thats it. If your driving up to the Train station why would you then jump on the Ex1? Same price near enough.
