I expect a 'normal' refurbished 4-CEP is coming along shortly. I expect they've released these two oddities (TEP & 3CEP) first as they will probably be difficult to shift if they were released after the 'standard' ones. As they are all that is available for now, people will be more inclined to buy them
Some expert tea-leaf reading from you two! Bachmann's winter announcements today include refurbished 4-CEPs in blue/grey, jaffa-cake, and toothpaste colours!Well mine was delivered this morning so I'm looking forward to opening when I get home. Bachmann will only have to tool up a TSO then and their next release can be a jaffa cake 4-car version
Really !? Thanks for the heads-upSome expert tea-leaf reading from you two! Bachmann's winter announcements today include refurbished 4-CEPs in blue/grey, jaffa-cake, and toothpaste colours!
I do believe they are. When i saw one at Folkestone. You could tell one of the cab ends had a black box covering the windows. The TEP looks great. Is it mechanically still the same as the earlier models or have they changed / moved the motor? Quite a large motor unit was fitted to the older models, but it was fine as it was in the brake compartment.
All getting much too expensive for me...........My Bachmann wishlist significantly updated!
I always wait for the clearance sale, for me 2 original class 411s at £150 each and 2 class 450s at £250 each. The 410 will beon offer soon, I guess in 2024.All getting much too expensive for me...........
I'm waiting for those Graham Farish 450s to release, not sell, and then have the prices slashed by a third or more. Feels like I need to start robbing banks every time I look at preordering. All getting much too expensive for me...........
This delightful little industrial shunter arrived today from those nice people at the N Gauge society. It is precisely 54mm long from buffer to buffer!

Thanks @CowleyThat’s amazing. The more you zoom in the more detail you become aware of. Excellent!
It’ll look so much better weathered (everything does). Thanks @Cowley
It's going to be a shame to weather it, it's so lovely! But it's the perfect match for my 100T bogie tankers and fuel storage tanks. My layout is having fuel depot sidings!
Good grief. Is that because they haven’t been produced for a while? On another note, I was keeping an eye on a Farish N gauge era 7 Deltic on eBay today out of interest (not bidding, as no eBay purchases are permitted until after Warley!). It was used, but in nice condition with unopened detail pack. It went for over £200!
I can only assume so. They don't come up very often that I've seen, and that, combined with Deltic types' fervent love of the class, causes the comedy prices I reckon. It’ll look so much better weathered (everything does).

Given their reliability towards the end, you could probably have bought a real one in 1982 for about the same amount!
Very nice! Rapido outdoing themselves yet again. Perhaps somebody at the BTC misheard and sent a carriage up to Kelvin instead of Kelvedon? Here is my latest acquisition. The Rapido Wisbech and Upwell tramcar in maroon. A long way from home as it is currently on my Scottish Region branch.
I received my NSE-liveried Bachmann 4-CEP and although it is a great model overall; the one striking feature is the lack of the cab roof overhang. It's too flush with the cab front and really noticeable (to me anyway). I don't remember seeing this issue on the 4-TEP or original 4-CEP but when I have time; I'm going to go and have a look
Incredibly fortunate to escape with your life by the sounds of it - a lucky and fortuitous escape! However I also tripped and collided with a stall, which resulted in this ending up in my bag! No idea how that happened! Miraculously my debit card also happened to collide with the vendor's card-reader.
You should get yourself an ASBO banning you from all model railway shows, it helpsI'm afraid I was a little bit naughty at Warley- I've just got home with a new Bachmann Dynamis Ultima controller, which is a definite upgrade on the Hornby Select I've been using and getting annoyed with. However I also tripped and collided with a stall, which resulted in this ending up in my bag! No idea how that happened! A less damaging purchase was this sandbags kit, for the planned WW1 OO-9 diorama.

(For those unable to view the images, the first item is a Bachmann sound-fitted 150/1 in the early Provincial livery.)
