Given that closed stations can be used I initially thought that people from Nottingham would choose the city's own Victoria station as a local. However, looking at streetview, evidence of the Victoria shopping centre's railway past seems much harder to find today. When I first arrived at Nottingham's Victoria Bus station in the late 1980's a tunnel portal (south one of Mansfield Road Tunnel IIRC) was much clearly visible. Now it seems to be covered with the current site of the Victoria Bus Station.
