SWT Guard at waterloo

Offered the job starting 12th march for waterloo provided i pass the medical

just wondered if i could pick the brains of any recently employed staff of swt or anyone who knows what theyre on about really, just wondering mainly whats involved in the medical?

Eye test, colour vision test, hearing test, blood pressure, ECG (heart test), BMI check and a drugs/alcohol screening (urine sample).

You also fill out a questionnaire beforehand and discuss anything on there that needs discussing.

Not strenuous at all, if your generally fit and healthy and have a decent eyesight you'll be fine.

passsed interview in november, originally applied for wimbledon but offered waterloo as vacancy wimbledon one had been filled

I do believe unless they've added it recently that the ECG is only for Drivers medical, I never had it on my Guards medical but then again it was over 4 years ago now.

Yeah youre probably right, the info I gave is based on a drivers medical.

didnt have an ecg

had the hearing test, blood pressure height and weight recorded, and the drugs screen. apparantly they dont test for alchohol anymore but i wouldnt count on it.

see any new starters on monday

I'm presuming you are on your course now? You should have two people for Strawberry Hill on your course too, they had a look around the depot last week.;)
