Completley unfair and unjust. I was the first to condemn the disgraceful scenes at Sheffield Wednesday when a Leeds fan assualted Chris Kirkland. I went on to say that even with the Turkey stabbing chants it was no excuse for that fan to attach a goalkeeper.

Your comments are completley unjustifed and inaccurate. I have never said Leeds United or Leeds United fans are whiter than white. Your post is a deliberate attempt to imflame a situation. "According to him Leeds players are fans are whiter than white" Please back this up with posts or I will have to report you and your post to the moderating team.

Firstly, my apologies following the Chris Kirkland incident. I missed the posts where you condemned the fan in question. Anyway, feel free to report me if you think it's justified (goes for everyone that).

Anyway, posts of your where you claim that Leeds (club and fans) are victims. Let's rewind 11 months. "When we go to Millwall and Cardiff, they turn up with Turkish Flags, Galatasaray shirts and make frequent stabbing gestures. Very little is said about that, when a small minority of Leeds fans sing about Munich (which is just horrific and bang out of order) it's headline news. Every club has an element of idiots but it's always Leeds that are condemned the most." Leeds fans are the victims.

Criticising Man Utd and Man City for spending countless millions. Erm, I must have imagined Leeds spending vastly more than they earned then trying to win titles and the Champions League, then couldn't afford to repay those loans?

Dirty Reading. Leeds players are the victims.....

Manchester United. You say in that post (in reply to me) that your not bitter towards them. However, in the same post, you berate some of their players, a trend you have continued since in numerous posts in this topic.

I could go on and on, but I think I have got my point of view across fairly here.

Now, don't get me wrong. Every team needs passionate supporters, I just don't like it when supporters are as blinkered in their views as you are. As you may have noticed, I support Scunthorpe United, going to quite a few home games (and the odd away game) each year. However, I do recognise the fact that Scunthorpe United are a small club. I also don't make out other teams/players to be villans with Scunthorpe United being purer than the driven snow. The only exception is Lee Hughes, who no Scunthorpe supporter that I know has a good word for. Judging by some comments in this topic, it's a widely held opinion of him.

@ SS4 .... Villa may be more claret and blue than West Ham, but you'll never be as claret and blue as the Mighty Iron! :P

when have I said Leeds were whiter than white? that is what you said I said. where did I say it?

I have simply given opinions and that includes condemning Leeds fans on occasion and Leeds players. It strikes me that you don't think the turkey chants are out of order. proved my point there mate.

Wouldn't it be a nice thing to occur, if like those warring soldiers from two opposing sides, in the Great War, an "unofficial" truce could could be declared on the Football thread just for Christmas Day, noting that a football match occurred then.

God I wish Oldham game was one of six matches that got call off due to Rain today as they lost 4-1 to Yeovil and had player sent off in second half too :( and only 95 Latics fans made the trip to Yeovil too, bet they wish they went and did some Christmas shopping know.

Christmas Greetings from one "Owl of Oldham" to another fellow-sufferer.

Bloody hell! Leyton Orient, who have won their last 8 games in all competitions, are well and truly beaten at home by Scunthorpe United! :D

Christmas Greetings from one supporter of a team at the wrong end of Division 1 to another one.

It's nice to have some football on the radio to relieve the amount of garbage normally broadcast!

Indeed, four games on 5Live today. Nottingham Forest v Leeds, Newcastle v Man United, then the two late PL fixtures.

Usually the only time you hear proper football mentioned on the radio is on 5 Live between 05:30 and 06:00 on a Sunday morning. Any other time it is all money-grabbing so-called 'premiership' rubbish.

on way back from Nottingham. normal service resumed for Leeds, another poor performance from the defence and in midfield Rudolph Austin in particular was off the pace. still, good fun in the crowd today, loads of Santa's and good fun all round. did the tv make any comments about sharps celebration when he made it 1-1. he seemed to make an offensive gesture to us and celebrated in front of us. he wants to be very careful given how he's been vocal about fans chants about him. we clapped him pre match so not sure what his point was. very odd. him and black stock were superb all game to be fair.

apparently he gave the officials a 'public dressing down' according to five live. no doubt he will not be punished.

Looks like Mr Lambert is going to be out of a job soon Villa 0 Spuds 4.

Now i bet when we play Villa they wont be as generous to us as they were against that bunch of rubble rousers from N17 and those prima doners from SW6. 12 goals concededi in 2 consecutive games.

Nottingham Forest have sacked Sean O'Driscoll this evening, after their disappointing score today...a 4-2 win.
1 point off the play offs, and the chairman has hinted he has an experienced premiership manager lined up. I'm assuming Mark "no wins" Hughes.

Strange. None of the Forest fans I spoke to pre match seemed unhappy with the manager and there was no audible chanting for his sacking during the game. Forest looked good, Sharp and Blackstock caused problems all game, the midfield passed the ball around nicely and apart from going to sleep at the end the defence looked decent. Our midfield was poor which gave them a bit more time on the ball but we were easily beaten.

I suppose they have spent a decent amount of money and have rich owners who seem to want instant success.

As for the whites, todays result will send a message to our new owners that need in investment. The next two games are massive for Leeds and will decide our season, Hull away and Bolton at Leeds. I know loads of Hull fans so that is going to be a big occasion and it will be interesting to see Mark Davies play at Elland Road for Bolton because if rumours are to be believed he's on his way to a PL team in Jan, i'll see how good he is.

And right now i'm recovering from 3 goals in the first 12 minutes at the Britannia. Shouldn't it be 0-0?[/

Forest are in their best position in years. They'd be stupid to appoint Mark Hughes, he's crap with money....Man City and QPR spring to mind! I still expect them to approach him though as he meets the description the chairman gave in press conference.
What interests me is why we dont hear more managers claiming unfair dismissal etc, as I cant see some of them having committed misconduct etc.

Pardew put his hands on the fourth official and a Newcastle coach had to be restrained from going after one of the officials but in a surprise to nobody your criticism is aimed at Alex Ferguson.

Its not Balne-Wanderers criticism, read his post and he was clearly quoting commentary from Radio 5 Live.

nope, the statement you quoted is 100% definitely not criticism of Ferguson or Pardew.

Reposting specific criticism of one person or club, over and over, while ignoring all others IS criticism, and the second part IS an attack. Your responses are just bizarre.

"no doubt he will not be punished" is not critisizing Manchester United, Newcastle United or anyone connected with those clubs. You posted
but in a surprise to nobody your criticism is aimed at Alex Ferguson.

The only thing he is possibly critisizing is the FA for not taking action.

Well Pardew has put his hands on the fourth official on another occasion this season and was punished and apologised profusely for it. Although I haven't seen the footage of this incident nor have I read a report on it, I suspect there will be major action taken against him.

I believe the reason Ferguson was having a go at the officials was down to the 2nd Newcastle goal. Alan Shearer and the five live team seemed to think the goal should have been given but Le Tissier on Sky said it was 50/50.

Was Pardew's anger down to the Valencia tackle at the end? Le Tissier said it was a straight red but not even a yellow was given to a player that was already on a yellow.

Pardew's anger was due to the second goal initially being ruled out for offside. The actions of the coach were, I believe, in response to the foul.

Valencia's tackle was perhaps deserving of a yellow, but probably not a straight red. He caught him above the ankle but I don't think it was malicious. As Valencia was already on a yellow and wasn't shown a second perhaps it could be argued he should have been sent off and should be suspended for the next match but as it was deep in to injury time it's unlikely it changed the result.

Ferguson was angry about the second goal and I believe also a clear handball in the box. When the second goal was initially ruled out the commentators I was listening to seemed to believe it should have been given but when it was then given they seemed to be uncertain if it should have.

Manchester City's recent form should be of concern to their fans. The goals from Dzeko have completley dried up and Tevez and Aguero seem to have forgetten who each other are.

Apparently Mancini threw on Lescott as an emergency striker deep into the 2nd half. Should a team of Man City's stature be reduced to doing that? Has Mancini cracked?

Meanwhile, Benitez quietly goes about his business....

And its a brilliant 3rd goal for Stoke against Liverpool! Jon Walters on the sheet again, lovely goal.

50 minutes into the game, Rodgers sweating.

People can complaint at Stoke's style all they like, however it is effective and is getting them points which is what matters in this business.
