Can't seem to find the existing thread on this
Anyway, today I got to Waterloo to use the 1752 2S55 to Weybridge via Hounslow. I immediately noticed the Class 455/7 train looked very shiny and thought it be a freshly refurbished one. Turned out I was right. I saw another on the 1703 2S54 Weybridge-Waterloo via Hounslow. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the numbers of either train
Apart from the new paint on the outside the following appear to have also been done:
Some seat cushions replaced while others left the same :-?
Handrails, window surrounds and heater covers repainted
The old now-discontinued T12 fluorescent tubes replaced by T8 ones
However:
Motors sound exactly the same as previously (is their replacement a separate project?)
Flooring not replaced
No changes to door sounders
Did get an interior shot of the MSO vehicle
