Off-peak day return question

Hi all,

If you have an off-peak day return, and you get a train at 23:30 which arrives at your destination at 00:20 (therefore the next day), is your ticket still valid for that journey?

Yes, of course. The "Day" finishes at 0430 the following morning.

Yes, of course. The "Day" finishes at 0430 the following morning.
It's also generally the case that your ticket needs to be valid when you get onto the train, rather than when you get off of it - for example if you travel on a sleeper on a 'day' ticket.
