The "Mourinho wheel of blame" has spun once again. Surprising nobody who it lands on this particular time.

However, this time, he has very publically criticised the Football Association for the fine that was imposed upon him for his stated comments about the match officials.

To my way of thinking, he could well have harboured his disquiets over the matter and indulged in much personal angst and seething anger in private, but I now wonder if what he has said very publically about the fine imposed upon him by the Football Association "as being a disgrace" could be seen as an outright criticism and a challenge to them and yet another reason for bringing him before them once again to explain his actions.

I'm not so sure about that, I'm told that he intends to appeal which would mean that the finish line is still some way distant

Do you think that his petulant outbreak and subsequent publically made statement of criticism of the Football Association's fine imposed on him will be taken into account should it be decided to be taken to appeal?

Howard Kendall: Former Everton manager dies aged 69

Former Everton manager Howard Kendall has died at the age of 69.
Kendall played for the Toffees and managed them on three occasions, with his first spell in charge being the most successful in the club's history.
He led the side to two First Division titles, as well as an FA Cup triumph and European Cup Winners' Cup win.
In a managerial career of more than 700 games, Kendall also took charge of Blackburn, Manchester City, Notts County and Sheffield United.

Beat me to it! Stupid internet! <(

On a more serious note, tributes have come from Jamie Carragher, Kenny Dalglish and Everton fan Andy Burnham.

Oldham 1-1 Sheff Utd

Knowing is Latics ninth draw of season I'm still happy with that result, I see Oldham went down to 10 men due to Burn getting second yellow card and Sharp miss sitter to put Sheff Utd 2-1 up.

Today was first time new North Stand was opened (well 50% of stand was) this stand was due to open in August but they hit problems.

Man City 5-1 Bournemouth
Everton 0-3 Man Utd

With both of Manchester club won today it set up nicely for Manchester derby next Sunday given they both 1st and 2nd in table.

Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa
Alternatively, Costa 2 Collymore 0. :D

Winchester City 4...Banbury United 0 (Barron 9, 44, Bentley 60, 64)

Winchester City's impressive home form continued as they made it 13 points from 5. Jamie Barron's early strike set the tone and his second cemented Winchester's position just before half time. City dominated the second half and a quickfire double from Warren Bentley put paid to any last hopes of a comeback. To make matters better, Evesham, Larkhall and Yate all got beaten as well, allowing Winchester to jump 4 places to 7th.

Also, the 3rd round of the Hampshire Senior Cup has pitted Winchester City against Eastleigh.

Another planet...
Ipswich Town 0-0 Huddersfield Town

A decent point earned by Chris Powell's side, though we came closest to scoring in the first half, with Nakhi Wells having an effort cleared off the line by Christophe Berra. A bigger problem is the hamstring injury sustained by Sean Scannell and the stupid sending off of James Vaughan for petulantly hitting out at an opponent only 10 or so minutes into his first appearance of the season. A three-game ban now beckons...

Oh dear. That shouldn't have happened at all.

Barnet 3-1 York City

York played well for one minute of the game (when they scored a well taken goal). It was the other 89 minutes that let them down, fair result in the end.

Meanwhile West Ham's remarkable away record continues.

I have to say I was impressed by Bournemouth today. They brought a big crowd (I think they took their full allocation) who were pretty noisy till 3-1. Given the distance from Bournemouth to Manchester it was a pretty good turnout. They were better than Newcastle.

They also came to play football rather than clog or park the bus although maybe City were not the best team to have a go against. They did get punished somewhat, despite the absence of Kun and Merlin.

Finally are these.pundits and reporters clueless? It seems that the official line is that the first goal was offside even though the UEFA interpretation of the offside rule is pretty clear:

Any defending player leaving the field of play for any reason without the referee’s permission shall be considered to be on his own goal line or touch line for the purposes of offside until the next stoppage in play"

At Mackessack Park yesterday to see Deveronvale inflict a 7-0 thrashing to poor Rothes who remain entrenched at the foot of the Highland League with zero points, having scored 5 goals and let in 81 in their 14 fixtures so far this season.

One get's the impression Rothes have been imbibing a fair amount of the product from the Distillery adjacent to their ground.

Still £8 to get in, £1 for a Coffee and the same for a pie - excellent entertainment and value for a tenner :p

A good point for Darlo on Saturday as we had no defenders available! Playing Stourbridge who are also going well at the top of the table

With Wijnaldum scoring four.

Leeds don't deserve Evans. What have they done wrong?

Greek player given rough treatment by stretcher bearers

Ergotelis player Leonardo Koutris is given some rough treatment by two stretcher bearers during his side's match with AE Larissa in the Greek second division.

The midfielder was roughly loaded onto the stretcher having gone down injured, only to be dropped twice and then unceremoniously dumped at the side of the pitch.

I challenge you to watch this video and not laugh!

I can't see that ever happening in the UK!

You can't make this up. As long as the clown remains in charge, Leeds will be a big circus. They'd be lucky not to go down this year at this rate.

I guess Eddie did not really think focusing on defence would be much use against the league leaders, so might as well go out with a bang. The injuries aren't helping with all our most expensive players and those best performed out atm. 5-1 is about fair.

I reckon Leeds can join Wolves and Birmingham as the 3 top championship comedy teams that have owners who have as much idea about football as my big toe.

I would suggest Leeds fans do a little bit of googling about their new manager. Oddly his Wiki page doesn't list some of the more criminal and "colourful" escapades!

You only played Norwich. They are only 15th or there abouts due to a good start. I'd say they are now down worse performing than Sunderland.

Hmm you do remember that we also lost to Sheff Wed who are considerably further down the league than Norwich?

WHERE IS THIS?

I want to go there.

All I've heard is Slovakia. Manchester City's old ground at Hyde Road (used in the beginning of the 20th century before the move to Maine Road in the 1920s) had a goods spur running in front of one of the stands and the drivers used to slow their trains to a crawl to watch a bit of the game.

Bolton's old ground at Burnden Park had a line running across one end but that bit the dust during Beeching.
