The internet is a weird old place, full of folk with the strangest pastimes and tastes. But the least explicable of all are those who do things simply to hack strangers off, whether it is with major things like viruses, or trivial little annoyances like the OP. Please explain why you did it, in terms that do not make you look like a five year old.
Agreed. I can't really think of anyone else on this forum who would have wanted to do that.
I think it might just be inexperience. I realise I'm not yet at the stage where I can advise people, but I have benefitted a great deal from just looking at a post before I send it off and thinking: 'Is this necessary'?
I'm sure that HMS Ark Royal could have aired his views on the film more diligently without being sensationalist and trying to tell everyone what happened. The 'tears on the keyboard' bit could easily still have been said without mentioning the spoiler itself. I don't know the intentions of the post, but I'm inclined to think that it was not malicious. You just need to know what to say and be less clumsy about it at times. And I speak from experience. The admins know that I have been close to moderation - which is not a punishment, but rather a measure taken as
guidance (though incompatible with the Quiz Forum). This may well be deleted for 'discussion of a moderating decision', but I'm now willing to talk about the experience in the open - I know other users have. And in the end, I avoided it (for now!) and am being more careful with my posts. You (not personally) just need to know what to say and what
not to say. You may not have bad intentions, but you will still end up alienating users (once again, I speak from experience). So why not try to take more care?

Yes, it was me that reported it, I had hoped the post would be deleted.
Agreed. Best get rid of it before anyone else can see it.
