Today York City were relegated from the Football League once again. :(

R. I. P. York City. You were once great, but you have now truly played at your worst.

Preston North End 0...Burnley 1

Burnley won the Friday night Championship match and go top, with two matches still to play. However both Middlesbrough and Brighton are fancied to win both the league matches played on Saturday, so matters are very tight concerning the two automatic promotion places.

Surely Boro can't miss out now?

Maybe they will given Boro only draw against Ipswich today.

Middlesbrough 0-0 Ipswich
Charlton 1-3 Brighton

Them two results leave top 3 all on same points with only two games to go.

Oldham 1-0 Crewe (we are staying up say we are staying up :D)

We were poor today but scrappy goal won us the match and doing so keep Oldham in League one for over season :) this was also mine first win at Boundary Park since March 2015 and I have to say if Crewe were better team they probably would won the match.

I see MK Dons, Colchester and sadly for backontrack York have all be relegation this afternoon.

Indeed - that glorious day of 20th September 1995 is now sadly just a distant memory.

Elsewhere, there is the prospect of Fleetwood Town playing in a higher league than Blackpool next season. As recently as four years ago, who'd have thought that Blackpool might one day lose their status as biggest football team on the Fylde Peninsula ?

Enjoyable day out to Kidderminster to see Dover Athletic draw 1-1. Game wasn't much, but result means we are definitely in the play offs.

Have you seen that Boro fans are having an #adamreachday in the hope Preston beat Burnley? - now Darlo have won the league i hope Boro do the same. Good to see our feeder club doing well

Also Jordon Hugill is a big Boro fan but neither could get us a goal, though Reach was the standout player for us. We didn't play that well, but I feel we should have got a draw out of it, had enough decent chances.

Shortwood United 1...Winchester City 1 (Meredith 11; Feeney pen 86)

Winchester City completed their league campaign with a sixth consecutive draw, although many first team players were being rested with the playoffs in mind. Shortwood started well and took an early lead which reflected their dominance. The second half was more end to end and with four minutes left Winchester won a penalty and up stepped Craig Feeney to send the keeper the wrong way. There was still time for controversy as, in stoppage time, Shortwood got the ball over the line but a City defender cleared it with his hand. Fortunately for the defender, the referee and his assistant were blinded by the sun - and missed the indiscretion!

Winchester's playoff semifinal is away at Banbury, who seem fairly confident of victory; their chairman has already paid the players promotion bonuses!

Banbury United 2...Taunton Town 0

Larkhall Athletic 0...Cinderford Town 0

Marlow 0...Evesham United 3

North Leigh 4...Bashley 1

Swindon Supermarine 0...Didcot Town 0

Tiverton Town 4...Wantage Town 0

Final league table:

C. Cinderford Town 96pts
-----------------------------------
2. Banbury United 94pts

Seeing this season's points total by Bashley in print goes a little way to deadening the pain of a third consecutive relegation by Hyde United...

They also ended up conceding 201 goals over the 42 game season. They amassed 8 points and finished bottom last season, but survived due to Sholing resigning and Clevedon being ejected for failing a ground grading.

Heard on the radio that Eden hazard has said that Chelsea want Leicester to win the league rather than spurs. Will there be chants of we're going to swing the game against Leicester at Stamford bridge next weekend?

Champione, Champione, Ole, ole, ole,

I went to Rushall yesterday and although Darlo lost 1-0 I really didn't care! Conference North next season, back home, 104 points, overturned a massive lead to win the league.

I think our form since Christmas is something like Played 24, won 21, drawn 1 lost 2. That is playing a minimum of 3 games per week. Superb.

I've just read that article and wondered if we would see Chelsea 'throw' the match

Hugill is from Boro and came through the Northern League. Lots of clubs were after him. We had a look at him in our Northern league season but he was clearly off to better things.

We'll put out the youth team last day of the season;)

Hopefully Leicester will have clinched the title before then

Hyde United 0...Halesowen Town 1

Hyde United, in their final match of the season at home in front of the ever-diminishing number of their fans at Ewen Fields were determined to protect their recent run.

As sure as "eggs are eggs", they kept this run going and finished the season in style with a figure of EIGHT consecutive league defeats. The team have worked very hard to ensure that they managed to drop down from 4th to 22nd position and thus ensuring their proud record of three consecutive relegations.

I am not sure if their current credentials will be good enough to gain entry for the 2016/7 season into the Hyde Fish-fryers and Clog Repairers Sunday League..<(

What you CV like Paul as maybe you should apply for Hyde manager job and see if you do better then last few managers. :)

Not impressed with 5live's decision to ignore the action at Leicester to go to Wembley - especially when that game was on sports extra. Plus they skipped over a goal!

The lad has potential, but is prone to the odd violent reaction ! Grayson obviously see's something in him, whether he is Championship standard remains to be seen

I wonder how many points that Tottenham Hotspur can hope to gain from these final four Premiership matches.....

Home.....West Bromwich Albion
Away.....Chelsea
Home.....Southampton
Away.....Newcastle United

Well if they don't beat West Brom tonight surely it's all but over?

So Leicester need just 3 points to win the league now. Don't see them coming at old Trafford, but home to Everton should do it
