Delighted that Leicester have won the league. Terrific stuff. It will be interesting to see how they get on in the European Cup next season and who they bring in during the summer.

Or maybe the 'tinkerman' will leave things as they are, like he did (mostly) in January..If it isn't broken..

However with the extra games next season (and the need to have some European nous if they are to compete in the European Cup) I would expect two or three signings.

If Vardy hadn't been suspended, he have picked the same starting 11 for maybe the last 12-15 matches, given they all remain fit...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kante depart, however we will have to see, what develops, post the open top bus tour...

I'm not really sure where Kante would move, given that he will be guaranteed European Cup games next season.

European Cup football is very different to the Premier League which is why I think two or three new faces might appear next season if Leicester are to make a fist of it.

Irritated. I wanted Spurs to win the league!

*washes mouth out*

have a word with yourself! Spuds????? SPUDS?????????? they already think they are fantastic. Imagine how insufferable they would be if they won the league!

The only worse outcome could be cockeny West Ham doing well.

Leicester have quite a few promising academy lads coming through who have already represented their country at u-18 and/or u-21 level. In particular a left-back named Ben Chilwell who spent a couple of months on loan with us earlier this season looks more than capable of playing at the highest level. Arsenal have been courting him I believe...

I will put it down to the balance of your mind being affected by the massive implosion at your club.

A certain other club from the second city seemed to be revelling in the demise of their rivals on Saturday, staging a mock funeral with a claret and blue coffin. It was vaguely funny but I got the impression they hadn't had much of their own to celebrate other than stealing a point from us!

Before the spurs match last night, they were commenting about Eden hazards coments on 5 live. One of the presenters said that if it goes to the wire, Leicester could have 42000 supporters at Stamford bridge on the final day

And so it ended 0-0, semi-good result for Man City knowing if they score 1 goal in Spain, Madrid will need a win otherwise go out on away goals :)

Normally won't support Man City, but support English teams when in the final stages of Europe

I'd go along with that. I used to make an exception for Beeston though, as their fans already reckon they're "Champions of Europe"! ;)

Lots of trouble lately with the new ticketing arrangements for city fans - some being forced to pay over 500% just to stay in their seats... Fans this evening held red cards to show their dislike and distaste for the way the owners are treating veteran fans

Even the manager has somewhat said he agrees with them

Banbury United 1...Winchester City 0 (Barcelos 86)

Winchester City's bid for promotion comes to an end in the semifinals. The hosts were the better side throughout the game and will host Taunton in the final. Now, what to do on Saturdays now that I'm not getting on a coach to the West Country until at least August...

Except that Spurs have a terrible record at The Bridge so it'll likely all be over on Monday night. Then on the final day the reigning champions can give a guard of honour to the new champions before gaining revenge for the match which ended Mourinho's 2nd spell. [/optimism]

Interesting result in the Evo Stick Northern Premier ( champions: Darlington)

Blyth 3- Workington 4!

Blyth, top for so long, lost out to a last minute winner by The Reds through Robert Wilson after they had fought back to 3-3. Only one game in these play offs so Workington play Salford in the play off final.

Workington are the form team having dived into the playoffs on the last day of the season. My money is on Salford in the final, especially as they have home advantage, but i hope Workington turn them over. I feel sorry for Blyth who were top for so long and got enough points to win the league in any other season. Such are the cruelties of football.

Be good to see teams like Darlington & Workington back in the football league, amazing to think that Workington haven't been in the football league since 1977 and were once managed by non other than Bill Shankley

Workington does also have a rugby league tradition.

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

I see that Atletico Madrid beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, so both semi-final second legs will be quite intense affairs, with a place in the final at stake.

Strong rumours going around certain parts of Hull tonight that Mr Allam, owner of Hull City, might be heading up to meet Allah very soon

Club has said the family are spending as much time as possible with him as he is gravely ill... This would explain the utterly bizarre statements he has made and actions he has taken in the last year or two. Poor Steve Bruce, the Manager, is stuck in the middle trying to fend off the owners and the fans
