Odd. There is no political reason for them to be going to Derby (ie to keep it open) as they've got plenty of 387s, 345s, 710s, and the GA fleet to keep them busy at the moment. I guess it is taking longer than expected to get the replacement site (was it Ilford?) up to speed. Then again, I can't explicitly remember a plan to do them somewhere else

Because it will involve more work than the other subclasses? (Changing from 3+2 seats to 2+2)

Won't be the only subclass with FC at the ends, the 375/3s is at one end of the set

The only reason 375/3s didn't have it moved is because moving it would increase the seating rather than reduce it. 375/9s will have the First Class moved like every other 4 car 375.
