Platform 2 at Stranraer. It's still there but I think the footbridge has gone.

Although IIRC there is no track at P1 at Battersea Park anymore
Though the signage "Battersea Park to London Bridge" remains and is in very good condition.

I've not seen these two mentioned:
Twickenham Platform 2. (The track into Platform 1 has been removed over the past year or so, therefore doesn't count)
Ryde Pier Head. Only the right hand platform face is used (facing the island from the Pier head).

Would the unused platform face at Ascot - the single track platform where both sides are called Platform 1, but only 1 side is ever used - count?

Ulverston Platform 2, technically speaking. In effect it forms part of Platform 3 as it's physically the same platform. Those going from the Lancaster direction to Lakeside would alight onto platform 2 and walk across to the Lakeside bound train to Platform 3.

As the Lakeside branch has been mostly culled that need is redundant, so doors no longer open onto that platform, only opening on Platform 1 where the exit is.

That's stretching things a bit though as the stations are closed during that period.

I dont think it is possible to close Dunrobin Castle and Falls Of Cruachan stations during these periods? From looking on Google Streetview and on photos on Flickr there doesnt seem to be any gates or fences or any way to close these two stations?

Until relatively recently there were still rugby specials that terminated in Platform 2, but I'm sure when I was last at Twickenham (last year sometime, I was drunk, so I may have imagined it) the platform edge had all been fenced off with 2.5m steel palisades so I don't think it will be long before the track comes up.

I dont think Platform 1 at Hastings has any trains scheduled to use it?
2D80 0949 Ore - Hastings and 2D15 0957 Hastings - Ore use Platform 1 to provide a cross-platform connection to the 0958 Victoria service. They're the only regularly booked passenger services.

It's also used by Marshlink trains during disruption and Southeastern for overnight stabling.

Plus Hull to Leeds via Cas.
I'm sure I remember the other platform in use many years ago but not sure what trains stopped there (the Leeds-Sheffield stoppers ran via Altofts at the time).

The other platform at Cas was brought back into use during the Leeds blockade in 2000, TPE were diverting and called as Cas to allow a connection into stoppers to Leeds. They provided a temporary scaffold based stairway rather than the overbridge which I assume had been condemned by that stage.

I can't see anything down as calling at Marsden platform 2 on RTT

Yes, there's an EMT from Crewe which works out to Nottingham that is booked to use 5 in an evening.

A shame that bay isn't long enough to hold a 156 (or pair of 153s), then the Crewe - Derby services can go into there rather than blocking platform 2.

Platform 3 at Ryde St Johns Road

Doesn't that get used by the 2038 Shanklin to Ryde St Johns Road service, then the unit can go direct into the depot?

Hither Green platform 1 has a very limited service.

No booked passenger services at all.
It's rigged up for stopping trains in case of possessions etc.
The only time in all these years I have caught a train from platform 1, was the Sunday London Bridge opened! I think platform 5 was closed that weekend, so they used platform 1 to avoid congestion with stopping trains on platform 3.

Platform 7 at Guildford. All services use platform 6, there being a single track between the platforms.

Thats not to say I haven't alighted onto platform 7 but the idea is one doesn't.

When slammers were around there was nothing to stop this (though guards often advised pax to use the side onto P6 due to the juice rail being on the P7 side). Nowadays they only release the doors onto the P6 side.

Wolverhampton - Platform 6 only has one service leave per day and that is the 1st 170 Turbo bound for Shrewsbury. Otherwise it is used as a holding platform for London Midland Services not in use.

That sounds like platform 8 at Carlisle. There is one morning departure to Dumfries, but all other Northbound Scotrail services use 7 or one of the through platforms, although there is occasionally a unit stabled there.

An unnumbered Parcels Platform at Preston which was used a couple of years ago for additional trains for Open Golf at Lytham St Annes

At st davids the bay is used by the regularly irregular GWR slow services to Bristol or Cardiff. (4 or 5 tpd I think)

Don't think the bay at central is though.

Platform 2 is used for the first Barnstaple (0550) in the morning and the 2149 Exeter St Davids to Bristol TM. It also sees use on a Sunday when a Barnstaple train turns back

There used to be posters at the station which listed the services calling at P2 instead of P3, though I'm not sure if they're still there.

I thought the poster was for the handful of Huddersfield services which turn back at Marsden and start from P3 instead of the usual P1?
