you wouldnt need to sit them again youd just go straight to interview if you got thru the initial application

I was too as I have passed them with gtr but I heard that even then some companies take different enhanced scores , apparently crossrail require higher than most but I'm hoping gwr take same or lower .

Does anyone know what they would consider a commutable range? I've seen other TOC's say approximately 45 mins?

I'm in a similar situation passed all the tests and interviews for MTR crossrail in 2016 but do to personal circumstances had to turn down the job.

Do I need to let the other TOC's know that I passed all the tests ? Or will they know automatically if you get trough the initial application?

Usually they ask or if on the application there is a personal statement box I usually put it in there.

Its all held on a database. They will be able to check. Hopefully straight to interview for all those who've passed the psychometrics.

Good luck

It is on a database but I can't imagine they just check every applicant when they get thousands just if you indicate to them you have done them .

No i dont think they do either.

Based on my past experience I've dropped them an email in response to the invitation to sit assesments.

Thanks for this! I've been working in the railway industry for 5 years now and the FirstGroup careers website is one I check quite frequently along with a few others and this is the first time I've seen any Trainee Train Driver positions advertised! The same Qualified Driver positions have been advertised for months maybe even years?! Guess I'm in for another long wait to hear back from GWR about this one considering its a talent pool!

I sat in the talent pool for Bristol being fed information infrequently for 3 years before being told my application had expired, so be prepared for a long wait. Talent pool is no guarantee of a job, just go into it with your eyes wide open.
That said I hope those that do apply have a much better experience than I did.

Beat of luck to all who apply.

Going forward, don't be surprised to never see GWR trainee driver jobs advertised for anything West of Reading/Oxford.

Filled everything with internals and the current talent pools being built up are with internals.

Do you think that means we won't get a job or just for certain area's.
