Heres mine of 390 101, I've got more but some non-trains
Oh dear...Ye do realise what idea ye managed to brew in my mind with that, didn't ye?

Here's a close-up shot of the customised Pendo that I want Virgin/Alstom to craft for me if ever I get the cash. Don't say ye didn't ask for it...<D

Grand Central have upped the ante quite a bit:

GCRJavelincopy.jpg

I tried to put buffers on it but I would have had to chop half the front off.

I'm also re-liverying a (real picture) 395 into Virgin livery but it's taking quite a while, also a 142 into Eurostar livery

Not really a livery, and not really a Photoshop either...But I got bored, and having a liking for clagging Pendos - Decided to spend a brief five minutes messing about with Paint... :)

reminds me of a ex-silverlink 321 cab i saw max speed 100mph had been changed to max speed 10 mph

or on a ATW 158 i saw "wessex control 0800..." changed to "sex control 0800..."

Any requests for liveries are welcome, so long as they aren't too silly, and links to source photos could be helpful too where possible.

395 in VT (i have a shot but not online) or 91 in EMT livery (as East Coast trains) :)

How the hell did you manage that?

I've been trying that for over a week and it's impossible, my picture is quite overexposed because it was taken on a very sunny day, which means that some of the red has ended up pink because the light was shining on that part. As for the white and the silver...

They did indeed, a pair of 158/7s maintained at Tyseley and in the Express livery as delivered, but with a first class section at one end. I think they were mainly used for a service from New St to Portsmouth Harbour.

Here is my next livery on the grid in DBS livery, click thumb for the larger version

This is pretty crude by any standards, the sky clashed with the roof when using the magic wand so it's a bit patchy. You'll get the idea anyway :)

Voyager doors aren't that easy to superimpose either.

Home shots burkitt, I like too many to list them all.

DRS has been requested by some other people, so I made it top priority.

One more for you before I go to bed. Original BR Green with white stripe.

Here are a few of the images from my gallery at alternativerailways.fotopic.net All thumbnails are links to the full size image.

BR black City of Truro, as painted for Steam Railway magazine in 1985.

First class 395 Javelin, for the electrified GWML maybe?

Fastline class 37

Dutch Plan V or Mat '64 in Network Southeast livery, as a counterpart to the NS liveried class 321.

RES class 67

Southern Networker, which could have happened if Govia had merged its two franchises, or if the planned use of Networkers by Southern under Thameslink Key Output Zero had taken place.

If the discussed Cosmen purchase of National Express and sale of its rail franchises to Stagecoach takes place, we may see an East Anglia Trains class 90.

And also an East Thames Trains class 357.

Finally, a Scotrail class 27, still operating the Edinburgh-Glasgow service in 2009.

That DRS one is excellent! How did you do the large compass vinyl out of interest!?

Cut the vinyl off a shot I took of 47832 at Carnfroth Open Day, manipulated it and scaled to the correct shape. Then I also removed the bodyside door and hand holds which would have given the 47 origins away. Simples

I'm a regular visitor to - http://fictitiousliveries.fotopic.net/

it's not my work but it's bloody brilliant and I thought you'd all like to see it in this general topic area.

Some of them are really brilliant and show what would happen if the history of the railway was changed just slightly.

A long time since it was updated, sadly - I check back occasionally to see if anything's changed, but am always disappointed.

A pity, as Owen Hodgson's work is real quality stuff!

Superb work there, very good indeed! The Javelin looks unbelievably real...as you say, it wouldn't look out of place on the GWML once it is electrified.

I particularly like this one - http://alternativerailways.fotopic.net/p60178669.html

This also looks incredibly realistic...it’s about time DBS and Virgin struck a deal to get one or two of the 90s painted up like this, so the real-life set looks complete! :)
