The return path is certainly very "special", though

Great it has the Photo Stop in YorkNot necessarily - there's still time. If it's been done by planning and uploaded today, it might appear in the next few hours.
Edit - and indeed, it has!

The return path is another 5P00/5H17 situation
Now that’s a long wait in Man Picc on the return...I wonder if something special is scheduled there?VSTP=Very Short Term Planning

All the Nova 1/3 runs over the Pennines so far have run via Guide Bridge and reversed at Piccadilly.
Is there a reason for avoiding Victoria and the Ordsall Chord?
Oh, I absolutely love those photos! Nice work! I'm really keen to sample one of these TPE workings when they eventually enter passenger service!A very cold run in freezing fog most of the way from Manchester to Carlisle and back today with set 9. Thankfully the sun shone through the Lune Valley and snow was on the Lakes hill sides. A quick shot on Post on curve. Out again tomorrow and Friday with set 9 to Carlisle. Set 1 (I think) heading to Scarborough on Friday morning.
I presume that it will have to go via the Calder Valley at some point to ensure that everything fits as I seem to remember there was some talk about the fact that the Mk5s were having some issues with said tunnels on that route.A desire not to bring Castlefield to a halt if the thing sits down? I wouldn't route anything that way that wasn't in passenger service (until it needed testing there specifically) if I was in charge.

Summit Tunnel from what I remember. There was a problem with (at least) one of the tunnels on the Calder Valley route for mk.5's, as there was also with platform 3 at Scarborough, however Network Rail were supposed to have done the work required to allow them to run by the end of last year.
04:10 Manchester International Depot to Scarborough seen at York this morning. Many thanks to ‘SP Man’ and ‘D6700’ for the advanced information.
That’s very kind of you, thank you. There were ten or so enthusiasts (and a few staff!) there to see it!This photo is amazing and you are amazing for getting up so early to take it. Thank you!
Any idea what's happened to the inbound working? It's completely disappeared at Marsh Lane Junction
Cracking image, that’s certainly a room with a view! Here it is leaving Leeds (in the distance) from the 8th floor of Bridgewater Place........

Fantastic images, thank you for sharing. Thank you again for the advanced information. Some from today's Nova 3 run over the hills to Scarborough.
So this this run indicate that the 68 will normally be on the Lancashire end of the train?
