Brilliant news. I got told that I have passed my interview this week. No news on a location yet though. Where will you be going?

Congratulations mate, I will be based at Dagenham Dock or Dartford. The start date will be given once the medical is done.

Finally got an interview date I can attend on the 5th March. Couldn’t make the last two.

Anyone heard when they might be starting training etc if successful?

Hither Green, you?
Nothing yet. My original depot isn't taking on now so DB are looking at other depots for me. Fingers crossed I get something soon. Keen to get started.
Congratulations on getting in though. Any idea on a start date?

Anyone had there medical yet and can tell me what to expect ?
Had last week,

Very straightforward,
Fill up Questionnaire
Blood pressure check
Weight and height check
Eyesight check (Seeing a chart and reading out alphabets from few meters)
Colour blind (Reading numbers of a book presented and shown by the nurse)
Hearing check
Ecg
Urian sample donation
Seeing a doctor who will do few more checks.
Nothing to worry if you don't have any medical history.

This is very informative and detailed. I have my dmi this week, then hopefully medical. I am a bit worried about the weight measurements. How strict is that? Are they doing bmi or just looking for reasonable fitness?

Can’t answer for all companies, but they’ll likely measure your BMI, but not base much on it as long as you’re fit and healthy (so as to be able to climb in and out of cans etc). This is an area I’m less worried about when (hopefully) the time comes, and my BMI is about 34, meaning I’m obese. This is why BMI is inaccurate. I could be a body builder and still have the same BMI, as it stands I’m 5”7’ and 14 stone (obese, but only technically). I think therm ‘obese’ in these situations is a bit OTT to be fair.

Hi, I’m new to the forum and I’ve applied for Warrington Bank Quay.
Just wondering if anyone has any more info:
I believe it’s a 13 week roster: is Sunday’s part of working week?
How many weekends are worked in the 13 weeks?
Are there overnight stays?
Is it 4 or 5 days per week?

Any info greatly appreciated!!
