When I was at school there were seven colours in the rainbow or spectrum as we had to call it in Physics classes. Apparently Indigo has been eliminated so are schoolchildren now taught Richard Of York Gave Battle Vain rather than 'in vain'?

Who reckons that there will be more action in terms of LNWR diverting once the final WMR train is done???

I believe the answer to your question can be found here... https://www.quora.com/Why-does-the-LGBT-flag-have-only-6-colours-instead-of-7

Basically, Pride flags aren't as much of a generic rainbow as you think.

Thanks for the info. I was not specifically thinking of the LGBT flag but of the rainbow/spectrum generally. I can't remember which website I was looking at a few months ago when I looked this up but I remember that it excluded Indigo from the list. Checking Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectral_color it says that Indigo is now often excluded giving 6 colours not seven.

Diverting? You mean revinyling, surely?

I suspect so.

Wonder when the interior refurbishment of the 172/2s and 172/3s is due to commence? That can't be far off, now that the 172/0s are slowly but surely entering service with all the WMR trimmings.
