Not being critical at all, the set went back via Warrington Central last night so had to go round Ordsal chord this morning, hence set is right way round again.
Just an observation!

I’m not convinced everyone would have got on a 185.
Ah, but none of the cranks would have been on it if it was a 185!

All being well I hope to get lineside tomorrow for a couple of phots. Working near the Trans-Pennine line has its benefits.

The ECS move from Longsight to MCV is a tactical one. We have the option to run via the chord directly if the set is in the correct orientation, or spin it by going through Water St and Ordsall Lane Jn and reversing at Salford Crescent (subject to any possessions)

Right okay, Genius was wrong this morning. It had the DT leading up to Liverpool... I won't bother giving gen anymore then?

The loco certainly isn’t leading today, as it went around the Ordsall curve this morning.

Can’t rely on genius for formation info with the loco hauled stock.

Terminating at Man Vic. Problem on the train.

Caught the 12.06 from Leeds to Huddersfield and it seemed fine on the journey. The ride quality was a bit rickety in places, not sure if that's the track though around Heaton Lodge. The seats don't line up well with the windows in some places but it's a nice train, no doubt about it.

Problem with spare unit actually.

I correct myself. The diagram is showing no driver rostered after MCV at 1430.

But also I note a 5H88 from MCV to Longsight at 1307 which has comments about a fault with the DT on LHCS TP09.

Ignore that no driver thing. Yesterday it showed no driver rostered all day and it still ran.

Yes the DT has a windscreen washer issue.

Oh BB21, whilst I agree with your sentiment, guys please do provide what info you can. Presumably TP chose not to provide a 185 backup today, which could have been OK if it was actually TP11, but if that is a non-starter, not so good.

Wasted an hour at Garforth this afternoon, waiting to photograph the 13.56 ex LIV. Learnt it was cancelled throughout "due to a problem with the train", 17.44 ex Scarboro also cancelled, I expect the two hour gap went down well on a hot Bank Holiday Monday. Was there really no spare 185 at Ardwick?

68025 with mk5 set outside (road nearest mainline) with CAF people walking away Tp09 and 68027 bring moved into the main shed at Longsight now
Plus another set inside
