Ha ha, interesting thought. I used the term bathroom to reflect it size rather than the Americanism for toilet.I'd love a bath on a train! Especially a 142!!

With 225 when I was on it last week it's still got the ancient silver square door buttons so it's a possibility that that's got something to do with it as surely those are harder to get dispensation for than the yellow LED ones.Probably fitting the 150/2s in when they can and depends which service they have before they go for refurb. Sure there'll be an exodus when more 195s/331s enter service for PRM mods.
another go since yesterday's was cancelled on the wolverton run;

That's the BDG (Bionic Duckweed Generator).What's in that massive metal box?
Not sure but both 272 and 275 have them and they are at both ends with the screens on them.What's in that massive metal box?
It looks like an ERTMS cabinet to me.What's in that massive metal box?

I presume its something electrical with the cut outs it's got presumably for air intake. Seems odd though as tfw 150s have the same electrical USB, pis and CCTV equipment without the need of themHas it perhaps got the racking for the wifi/PIS equipment in it or something?
@507021 - 150148 has been in the new Northern livery for a while now.
Do the advertising screens that are being installed in the 150s show next stop information like the 331s and 195sJust on 150272 and it's now had the refurb extras, USB ports, CCTV, additional advertising screens at the driving cab ends of each coach and wi-fi.

They appeared to have those cab end PID/advertising screens installed on a 319 I travelled on yesterday but were not yet being used. Sorry, didn't catch the train number.Just on 150272 and it's now had the refurb extras, USB ports, CCTV, additional advertising screens at the driving cab ends of each coach and wi-fi.
Just had a run out on a fully refurbished 150 (237?), complete with WiFi, PIS, USB sockets, moquette seating etc. I must say I was actually reasonably impressed, though a part of this could be due to the unusual-for-Northern cleanliness of the train. Any hope of an improvement to cleaning schedules after the refurb programme is complete?
I think that's Brodies who do that.Has finish improved at all as time has gone on, or are Northern still just painting over loose fittings etc?
Moving now 83L, mmm beef.Bovine incursion means that 870s move hasn’t got past Blythe Bridge and damage to a 153
I'm going to steer well clear of puns on this one...Moving now 83L, mmm beef.
