very naive - he is supposed to be a politician.
But Corbyn isnt a politician. He is an agitator and campaigner. That is both the point and the problem.

Just hope we don’t go back to the old days with labour

I have to agree. Although at the time I thought the fixed term parliament act was a good idea, now I am not so sure. This whole cowardice thing makes a mockery of the Fixed Term Parliament Act. If the opposition will always go along with the election for fear of being called chicken, it effectively renders the law redundant.

True - only Margaret Thatcher practiced what she preached as she truly believed the problem with socialism is, you eventually run out of other peoples money. The Tories are quite prepared to trash the economy in pursuit of Brexit so I would get out of that glasshouse first before you start throwing stones.
1/ Sort Brexit
2/ Sort HS2 ie scrap it
3/ Sort NHS through monies from HS2
4/ Sort Policing through monies from HS2.
Admittedly the 2nd one I don’t think will happen which casts a cloud on both 3 & 4.
Not everyone wants HS2 however so there is hope.
I’ll vote for it to be scrapped as long as I’ve air in my lungs.
If Labour win then taxes will go up to pay for the NHS & policing & people will be encouraged to spend what they can’t afford & it’ll be a slippery slope to recession.
And we’re back to square one.

Correct and of course in Mongolia there are statues of the biggest butcher and rapist in history - Gengis Khan. Interesting world we live in. People vote in ways we often don't expect. Many still revere Margaret - even as others still hate her. I personally think hate is a strong emotion. I really don't want Corbyn to win a GE - but I don't hate him - I will do my utmost to respect him. I try to be a good human being.I believe some russians say the same about Stalin (without the handbag, obvs).
Again I would have to agree (with hindsight - as I freely admit, thought it was a good idea at the time - was wrong and hold my hand up to that)It's turned out to be one of the stupidest pieces of legislation ever, and it's been circumvented twice in ten years.

I know full well the victims of your wonderful Margaret Thatcher have a different view
I imagine one issue with the Dec 12 election is that some students who are registered at their Universities may have returned home and so may have trouble voting. I suspect that the Tories were very well aware of this when they suggested Dec 12 as an election date.
I've actually voted in every general election since 1992. But it was still pointless. I'm considering not voting for the first time. FPTP is totally unacceptable!
