677 and 678 now in service, with 677 looking like it's on service 2 and 678 doing 47's. Glad to see more of the buses enter service slowly.

They're both Euro 6 now, I think that's recent unless anyone knows differently. Certainly didn't have the extra cab warning lights and new exhaust the last time I drove them.
Yeah, I noticed the cab briefly when I boarded 926 earlier today. Hadn't noticed the euro 6 exhaust though

Border Buses have put up their festive Timetable, any guesses as to when Lothian will be announcing their times?

Thank you, I didn't know if it would hace to go back there because it was there after initially repaired.

Why would a fully repaired and repainted bus go to Marine for (???) before returning to it's allocated garage? Is it some sort of rite of passage?

It'd be Livingston, no reason for it to be at Marine! No clue why it matters either way...
To be fair a lot of the time after repaints buses sit on the ramp or out the front at Marine for a few hours or a day before getting collected and taken to their so I can understand the question

10051-10065 are fleet numbers 51-65 in the normal fleet numbering system. If you notice the evoras start at 66 and the 7900’s end at 50

The ECB fleet numbers follow the system of the last 3 digits fitting into the main Lothian fleet, but with '10' infront of the regular fleet number on single decks (eg 10051, 10101, 10197) and '20' infront of the regular fleet number on double decks (eg 20794, 20939). Gemini 3s 20001-20008 are oddities in this respect as fleet numbers 1-8 are in use in the main fleet.

It'll take time to get used to. The rear is indeed questionable. Wonder why it's been done... Guess it fits in with the Gemini 3 and Enviro400MMC fleets? Have they got no vinyl logo with green text, so decided to paint it black and just stick a logo with white text instead?

I’ve been after the black on the back for ages as I thought it would look great. I wasn’t wrong, think it looks brilliant! Takes away the mostly white rear as well.
Similar scenario here, however I'm currently mixed about the black on the rear. I'm sure it'll grow on me eventually!

In my opinion, it looks better as the middle part having colour looks inconsistent also the sides of the middle part have black lines (shadowed, I'll attach a picture of what I mean at the bottom):

I couldn't find the example I wanted as this one isn't as obvious.

I think it makes it look a little more like the Gemini 3s from the rear as well, certainly modernises an old design.

Agreed. It works well on 201-215 already so it’s definitely worth a try. My only wish is that the top bit was black as well, but I understand why it’s not - likely due to the curves.

Will be interesting to see what they do on Single Decks. I don’t think it would work on those bodies.
