I wonder if this will see off the YN08 B9TLs at Blantyre and have it exclusively E400MMCs.

I dare say it maybe would have made sense to move over the ex-FSE E400MMCs branded for the 41 and convert that route to electric given it’s a popular route and it’s relatively short so would be suitable for the E400EVs.
The 41 MMCs are staying as put
All the Blantyre B9s are moving to Caley with 34388-92 and the remaining 65 plates moving the other way

32556 SF54 OSW has appeared with Shoreline Suncruisers, Scarborough in a rather half painted lash up.
I saw that. It’s nice to see the B7TLs get a new lease of life as they are good buses. They’d be perfect for school buses.

Anyone know why there are a number of E200MMCs out of service while there are still old B7RLEs and B7TLs on main services?

There’s a few more B7TLs soon to leave service and the RLEs will be going soon enough. It takes time for allocations of such are large nature to change

Still plenty of them in Essex. The B7TLs at First Glasgow still seem kind of modern as I remember there striking design when they first appeared on the 44.

At least 1 B7RLE is out on the 9A with its heaters jammed on and black smoke coming out of it.

I seen a Streetlite on the 2 this morning. Thankfully it was on the other side of the road from what I needed.

Interestingly there's a 2 showing on the app as cancelled again and it's in front of my 2 only going to Scotstoun. First time in a while for anything showing on the app as far as cancellations go. I've now noticed a 6 showing as cancelled too. I hope the testing doesn't have too much longer to go and the feature fully works. It's essential IMO.

Like the B7RLEs?
In the case of these second hand E200s no, they've so far only been replacing Darts or Solos.

First is currently in the process of withdrawing all Scanias, Solos, Darts and Tridents group wide (non Volvo types essentially), replacements have been either displaced B7RLEs and Geminis or second hand Enviro200s. Hence Scotland East replacing their Scanias with similar aged B7TLs and B7RLEs from Glasgow for example.

All Solos groupwide?

The purchase of e200s via Ensign is to eradicate Darts and the last Tridents may well be gone this year. Even Eclipses will start to become a lot less numerous

It was said the Scania double deckers with First Scotland East would be going this year too, or early next year.

69024 hasn't been in Glasgow for ages. It went to Rotherham then onto Essex.
69024 moved to South Yorkshire in the big 2009 swap with Gemini’s 31787-31804,37238-37245 & 37278. Moved between Sheffield & Rotherham at various times & moved to Essex in 2020 after Lockdown after being out of use a few months at Olive Grove, the others that went to Eastern Counties are now withdrawn except for 69033 which is now a trainer.

33208 has had its 75 branding removed.

Hopefully this is the start of them de-branding the 75 and 38 branded E400MMCs. So many buses branded for the wrong routes. Makes it so confusing.

not really, if you look at the destination screen then it doesn’t confuse it at all

I heard not all the E400MMCs for the 38 and 75 are having the branding removed. Some are believed to be staying on their routes.

I believe the 75 and 38 will be a mix of electric and the MMCs so only some will be debranded but 34380 has already been branded gold and has been for a while. I imagine many others will receive this with the 65 plates going to Blantyre.

I’m not sure what the plan is with the 61 and 34 as they were previously branded but the new electrics haven’t been.

The 34 is due to get the last of the new E200EV and the 61 is due new branded E400EV.
