Good morning. After 10 months of waiting I’ve finally been invited down to do first day assessment in a couple of weeks.

Group bourdoun
TRP1 & 2
TEA Occ

If at all possible I’m just looking for some more clarification on some things just so I don’t tailor my training and revising to irrelevant things.

is TRP 2 the dials and cables and you have to click the answer on what dial should be checked first?

TEA Occ from what I can understand is broken into 3 parts?

Part 1 directory only? And do you only look for double symbols and disregard area codes and professions?

Part 2 tones only? Is it the high tone or low tone we need to concentrate on?

Part 3 same again, will it be same tone as part 2 and also directory search will it be same as part 1 as in looking for double symbols?
That’s all spot on, not as daunting as you think. Done mine end of November and wasn’t as nerve wracking as I thought. The people doing the assessment centre put you at ease aswell. I didn’t try and rush on the dots and the tea occ, focused on accuracy and I passed them. Think I was maybe 12ish lines on the dots on each page and 3/4 of the way through the directory pages

Thanks for getting back in touch, yeah it’s nice and refreshing to hear, last thing I want to do is get worked up about it so the more Info I can gather now before sitting it the better. I’ve seen a few people saying they prioritised accuracy and seemed to have better results. Away to dedicate the next two weeks to give myself the best opportunity possible.

I was Thursday last week and still not had anything yet.
Could be waiting a while then, hopefully hear back soon, did they ask you what your notice period was and also about holiday you have booked? I’m hoping that’s a good sign but they could just ask everyone

Yea they asked me too lol..
same boat here, was threw off after being told to research more about the role and the company.
Me too, a lot of the stuff I was told from a friend who underwent the process last year didn’t come up. Threw me off big time.

I have a question on documents asked for at the assessment centre. My email states that a Driving Licence is essential, I indicated in my application I don't have one. Could anyone advise if this is essential?

Same boat as me.
Hopefully find out soon, I forgot to ask how long it would take.

The guy said to me it should be within two weeks, unsure if the weather warning tomorrow will maybe add a few days on to this though

Correlation does not equal causation. That's unfortunate you didn't get the job, but obviously they are looking at the overall interview and booked holidays would be a tiny if not zero factor of consideration.

Is the interview marked as an overall score you need to hit to pass or do you need to pass each question?

I got told in mine on Tuesday that if I haven't heard within two weeks, I've to email and ask for an update
I have to date sent 3 emails asking and haven’t had a reply to any. Quite frustrating seeing that others have found out within days and I have waited as long

Does anyone have any information for how long it typically would take to hear about a start date after passing a medical?

I am aware that this can be different based on which depot you are applying for but just wanting to see if anyone has any information.

I had my Medical at the end of September. Obviously I've chased it up, but still no acknowledgement that I've even passed it!
Same situation as myself mate. Had the medical in October and haven’t heard anything since, although I was told you’re not likely to hear if you pass it more likely to hear if you’ve failed it or any issues. I’ve also sent a few emails chasing up but heard nothing back.

I thought the medical was arranged when they had a position at the depot which obviously isn’t the case…
