    Lumo - Qualified Driver - Newcastle (17/01/24)

"We will pay in a minimum of 10% (5% employee contribution and 5% employer contribution)" So Lumo actually pay in a minimum of 5%?

    DB Cargo pay/conditions

I'm pretty sure drivers who are already in the RPS upon joining FL can stay in the scheme. Otherwise it's a 3 year wait.

    Freightliner - Trainee Drivers 2022 - (01/11/21)

Bedford drivers go to Dagenham, Theale, Elstow, Luton, Bow and Radlett (probably a few others) relieving Peak District drivers. Edit: 4sub answered above

    Freightliner - Trainee Drivers 2022 - (01/11/21)

You can earn far more money on HH. IM's fixed roster (granted, a bonus) means that the company can man shifts more efficiently.

    GB News

It's impossible to run a profitable, free to view News channel in the UK. Viewing figures can't generate adequate income from advertising. The US model is different. The majority of Fox News' income comes from charging cable providers to allow FN as part of a cable package. As said earlier in...

    Lineside Chain Markers (?)

On a tamper operating shift I'd use miles, chains, metres, millimetres, half chords and yards. Start/end of mileage was miles and chains. Total distance tamped was yards. Geometry was inputted in half chords (10m) Lift and slue was in millimeters.

Balfour Beatty - Trainee Train Driver Job Listing

I think Tom is perhaps over stating the risks involved with driving OTMs. I was on tampers for 10 years. There were around 35 drivers and in that time I think there were 5 spads, 2 of which were so technical that the driver's next employers weren't at all concerned. You have to protect yourself...

Dominic Cummings alleged breach of lockdown rules discussion

I think most ophthalmologists will agree that if you don't have access to the necessary testing equipment then the best way to check if you're partially blind is to take the old family on a 60 mile drive.

Balfour Beatty - Trainee Train Driver Job Listing

OTM drivers do a full rules course, obviously not passenger specific modules, just as passenger drivers don't do freight white pages or T3/OTM modules. TOCs or FOCs do conversion training. I and all my ex colleagues hold a European Train Driving Licence.

Balfour Beatty - Trainee Train Driver Job Listing

Well, I have ex colleagues who are at or have worked at; DRS, DBC, TPE, FLHH, Northern, Gbrf, GC, EMR and Thameslink. More will probably come to mind.

Peak Forest is actually Tunstead, but yes, they struggle to attract qualified drivers there.

    ASLEF Subs

It's true that there's plenty of right wing train drivers that believe that they have earned the superb terms that they enjoy, forgetting the decades of trade union activism. They're going to be in for a shock when Johnson wins the GE, because between him, Javid and the right wing press there's...

    ROG drivers

46 weeks x 60 hours = 2760 hours per year. 1192 more than my contract. If I were to work 1192 at overtime it'd be an extra £45k or roughly £100k gross pa. Then there's the lack of the RPS.
