Why would they disband 921 and 927? I don't see the point in that. It sure looks like I'll need to get down to Bristol at some point soon to score these ones off. Took me long enough to get 921 and 927 as it was!

The Centre Cars of 150921 and 150927 had to be removed for C6 Exam. They were on a different Maintenance cycle as they had not always peen part of them. Due 921 and 927 subsequently due Exam they were placed inside two fresh 150/1s.

It was also decided it was more important to get these 2 coaches back in service as soon as possible by sticking them into any 150/1 which happened to be at SPM at the right time rather than wait for 121 and 127 to make their way there which could take a week or 2. 125 and 126 were in the right (or wrong) place and so were selected.

Cheers guys, that makes sense. So it's possible 121 and 127 will stay as they are now again, with 925 and 926 as they now are for some time to come, and possibly other 150s will be become 1509xx's for a while too.

Yes they will stay like that for a couple of years at least.
It will only be when one half* needs another major overhaul that things will change again.

* the middle coach is one 'half', and the 2 class 150 outer coaches are the other 'half'.

I saw 150926 for the first time today! Working 18:38 Westbury - Avonmouth, but got stuck behind a failed HST (heading to Taunton) at Bath Spa and arrived at Bath 35 down, terminating at Bristol Temple Meads.
