The ones being fitted out in Italy?
Ah, that would make more sense if it's come in from the continent. I didn't realise there were any 385s not being assembled at Newton Aycliffe. Good spot.Kasado according to the paper in the window.
Bad pics to follow once I get home.
Thats the wrong end of the country..... Unless.... oh no, dont tell me SE are getting those ugly things
No, the garbage is staying firmly up north, fortunately. A poor imitation of the Class 380 indeed.
Surprised they're using vehicle numbers that apparently might clash with existing MU numbers.
I'm certain that 045 was being fitted out in Italy. The info is buried somewhere in the 385 thread.
Or Southampton.I stand corrected. I just knew that they didn't come out of Newton Aycliffe. Presumably they must have been landed somewhere on the other side of the Channel.

It gets better more being delivered today
And the lorry gets damaged
Leaving aside the nutter with the baseball bat, that is the final unit from Japan now.
46 x 3car sets. So guess that's the penultimate one.
Guess that's the last two then. Presumably off a boat at SouthamptonThe photo in post #15 shows 046. 045 was in the earlier pictures.
If there passing through ashford most likely came of at folkestone or dover.Guess that's the last two then. Presumably off a boat at Southampton
The 4440XX up to 045 definitely do clash with MU numbers (there being 45 class 444 units with SWR numbered 444001 - 444045)
JapanWhy were they assembled in Italy or Japan ?
The 442s are all in the 4xx rangeAnd the 442s, they're all in the 0xx range too.
The 442s are all in the 4xx range
They were known in the SWT days as 2401-2424
Arrived from southampton by rail, taken to the nearest Hitachi depot with test track (Ashford) and to be taken up to scotland by rail next week.
