An East Coast driver told me last Thursday they are planning on stripping the MK4 coaches on Easter weekend as they need to be shuffled around and then the loco and DVT being left in the 007 livery for another few weeks and going into random sets like 91110 (Battle of Britain) does with them being stripped and named properly after they have been in for maintenance.

Barring some farce, my guess is that the train won't lose it's vinyls until the weekend of 18/19th May. Only a guess you understand!!

EC have just tweeted that it's staying until August.

Oh, plans must have changed then. I was told that the cast plates were being applied on 22nd May with the vinyls being removed the previous weekend.

Unless someone in the know posts the details here a few hours sooner, you will probably only get to know after 9am on the day in question - unless you happen to have caught the train sooner

To add to Mainliner's post, if you are going out for the Skyfall set today be aware that there is some serious delays just north of Kings Cross which has meant trains are going via the Hertford lines, or just being cancelled. If I were you, I wouldn't even go out today for it!

That's just what I saw this morning so as always was scheduled to change. Obviously it has for whatever reason!

It ended up doing Leeds from the cross at 7.05 then came back at 945. Then went up to Edinburgh and back in the afternoon. Its on its way to Newcastle now then comes back and does the 16.30 to Edinburgh I think
