Did they just assign you the 19th? I’m hoping to change to this date, gonna call tomorrow. From Middlewich and applied for Crewe
Yes I was assigned this date. At Interview they said it was ok to change dates as long as you gave them plenty of notice.

Talent pool would be after assessments, that would include only successful applicants I should imagine, from what I gather more have gone through FTF interviews that they have assessments planned and will have to await more assessments dates to be finalised

I got through the face to face and gave my assessment on 20th November. Totally happy but nervous about the assessment now

Ive been successful for holyhead, but not been assigned a date for assessments yet, just an email stating that Assessments will take place within the next few months?

I wouldn't worry too much - they did that for the recent Chester and Shrewsbury vacancies as well. More people got through the Driver Manager interviews then they had available dates for assessments for do some had to wait another month or two before they got to do assessments. Once passed, they've still gone into the same talent pool that everyone else has been going into.

Talent pool will be fine. Do you know if you stay in it if you fail first assessment centre day? Asking for a friend

No. If people don't get through the interview stage and then the assessments afterwards then they won't move on to talent pool. They won't stay in it as they were never in it.

I think I've got through! I've been invited to assessment day on 28/11/18. I say that because they refer to my recent interview at Chester, when in fact it was at Cardiff. I just need to confirm before getting to excited!

Probably an admin error. I got emailed a train ticket from Prestatyn to Chester for my face to face interview.. ..I don't live in Prestatyn.. ...

Well done to all those that have got through. Someone I know had a posiitve email just 10 mins ago, so I havent given up hope yet.
Apparently the HR dept are overwhelmed and there are errors in the emails.
I would have thought if I dont hear by 5pm today it will be a negative for me.

Yes, approx 30minutes ago. I did email them though to chase it up.
That's great to hear. Congrats. Think I'll email them to try and get an answer once and for all myself then! What email address did you contact?

Congrats everyone on getting through and those that didn't don't worry. Someone I know who's been driving a train for a good few years now took a few goes at passing everything before he finally got in. Don't give up :D

I'm gutted. Ive been in the same job for 28 years and it was my first interview (other than internal promotions etc) for 28 years.
I thought I did OK. I was able to answer everything and thought I had good examples. It just goes to show that I have no idea how to judge my performance!
I spent ages learning all the lines and stations, depots and rolling stock and all about the new trains too!
Pleased for everybody that got through, its a cracking job and wish you all the best for the next stage and hopefully your future careers.
I've got a strong feeling I was unsuccesful now.

I don't think they responded to my email though, I think there may have been a crossover of emails.
I wasn't sure I had done the right thing once I'd sent it because I guess they are snowed under.

Yesterday I did an assessment for a Conductors role with another TOC. I'm now wondering if I fail this would it affect my chance of attending assessment day for train driver role?
I say this because I know if you fail assessment for train driver you can't reply for 6 months. I'm just wondering if this applies to other roles too?

Any thoughts?

If you haven't heard yet don't give up hope it sounds like they've still got a few to get through so keep your chin up everything might still be sound!
You've worked hard don't write it all off so soon fingers crossed

I wouldn't have thought so. Different roles and different attributes and qualities needed for both roles I would guess.
