Interesting to see 2 x 2 car and 1 x 3 car on the daily test run from Crewe to Llandudno. The past few runs have been multiple units. I am guessing TfW want to get as many with route miles on them as possible. Can never see numbers on these things though.

Looking at RTT there are several multiple class 175 workings today, 4 and 5 car (ie 2+2 and 2+3).
They must have been freed up by new 197 and Mk4 workings, which is beneficial all round (until they are withdrawn!).

The milford - Manchester, Manchester- Carmarthen, Cardiff - milford Haven diagrams are split between Carmarthen and Swansea due to engineering work which will save approx 4 hours on each round trip which may well help

Appears to be 2 x 197s on Manchester to Llandudno and 1 on Liverpool today.

Pretty standard then no?
Yes. Although there have been a few days where 3 diagrams on the Llandudno's have been 197's.

Hopefully it wont be too much longer before all 6 diagrams along with Liverpool-Chester and Conwy Valley are 197 which will cascade more 175s/sprinters to the South Wales routes to cover for the 170s going.

Holyhead - Manchester Airport tends to be worked by 158s which interwork with the Cambrian so those can't change over yet... nothing stopping the rest of the Llandudno - Manchesters changing over unless they venture out of North Wales into other depots areas that don't sign them yet. More units probably needed to pass FFR first though.

Is someone can help me to fill in some gaps I'd be grateful.

Does anyone know when 006 was delivered to Crewe?

Also, I think 005 and 020 are still in Donny, can anyone confirm.

Cheers

It's hard to tell which 197s are at Donnington RFT because many do not have numbers so you can't ID them unfortunately.

001 seems to be on a shuttle between Crewe and Chester today. Seen it pass the cameras twice now.

Brilliant spreadsheet.
Do you have one for the /1s?
I’m sure I’ve seen 102.

Yesterday and today, my daily commute has been on a 150. Normally it is a 175 or a 158. While there may be freed up 175s, there aren't enough extra to go around :)

Yesterday morning I was greeted by 150240 on the 0731 Holyhead to Birmingham International
On the way home 1D14 was 150240 again. Normally a 158.

Yesterday 150257 was on 1V94 Holyhead to Cardiff Central. That is usually a 2 or 3 car 175 from Holyhead.

This morning it was 150267 on 1V94.

I'm not exactly sure what is going on. There were some cancellations yesterday.

With most of the Mark 4 Manchester services starting and finishing at Cardiff Central, what are the chances of us still getting 5 car (3+2) 197s between Cardiff and Swansea on the connections?
