Just noticed this rather interesting website displaying images of the prototype class 150 (150001) out and about around the country, and also, some original adverts by British Rail regarding the new 'Sprinter' fleet:
http://www.traintesting.com/Class150.htm
I find one part in the advert (bottom left) particularly amusing:
'Sprinter's transmission means fast, quiet getaways that you'll hardly notice'
However, it's got me thinking...what will units that we see as flash and modern now be percieved as in 20 years time? Will the class 185s still be 'transforming travel' or will a trip on one want to make you cringe?
Anybody got any thoughts?
