Would seem likely then that 2021 will see the first 153 scrapped, if I understand correctly, the engines and drives are the same as 150s & 156s, so could be used as spares depending on condition (and ownership).

id say it comes down to allowing staff to know which are and which arent
Maybe I could've worded it better, but see post 29. The dispensation letter suggests renumbering from 1533xx to 1530xx, but it seems that they're actually being renumbered from 1533xx to 1539xx, which surely doesn't make sense going by what the dispensation letter has them numbered as (1530xx)...? :p

A path in for Tues 5th January possible move for ex East Midlands 153’s for TfW reported elsewhere as 153318 and 153368

5V78 0723 Ely Mlf Papworth Sidings to Cardiff Canton Sidings

According to Social Media sources the move is en route and quoted as 153318 + 153374. 153374 doesn't appear on any TOCs dispensation letters so we'll wait and see.

would you be able to find out the future of these units ie are they joining the pacers in going to sims or are tfw applying for dispensation/ planning on running these as part of 150s ect

I'm told that 318 will be receiving the bogies from 374.

I deduce from that a desire to keep 318 in traffic. Bogie swap is planned to happen next week. If I learn more, I'll share as long as it's not anything customer confidential.

Why Landore ? They are not TFW ones. They are at Ely Papworth Siding uness any body is aware of anything different
Why Ely? They are Porterbrook owned (who don’t use Ely) rather than Angel (who do). More disinformation.

I suspect the waiting move to Burton post above is the most likely correct one.

Correct, being Porterbrook one's they will be going to Burton Wetmore Sidings (Aka Nemesis) than Ely. Which of course would have been Long Marston until recently.

374 (leading) and 318 arriving into Landore this afternoon.

TfW are showing introduction of 153318, 153368, 153372 & 153382. All of which will be renumbered 1539xx. I guess 153374 is just for parts.

So we should be seeing these on the network over the next few weeks then?
The ones at Canton (972 and 982) were running, with their new numbers applied and the out of use toilet stickers on the windows last week on the depot so they cant be far off
