Hi! I didn't see these at Eastcroft this morning so I'll get you an answer tomorrow. It wouldn't surprise me if they were at Etches Park already though.
Thank you

Will the northern 153s be on the move to storage very soon at Ely Papworth or long marston please.
Thank you.
I don't. I wish I did to.Hi Warwickshire, any ideas when these moves will occur?
They haven’t, although I agree - still plenty of 150s on the Rhymney which could be replaced by double 153s so that they can strengthen the horrendously packed and almost always 2 car these days Pontypridd services (my local service)Have the remaining 153s with Northen and EMR had PRM or PRM lite mods or are they all reaching the end if DfT PRM derogation?
TfW could really do with binning off the 230s and even 769s. If these 153s have had mods they would be a decent stop gap until their new fleet starts to enter service mid next year.

However suspect very soon.
Believe at newton Heath T.M.D for handover back to the rolling stock companies.
Unless northern have a final plan for them?.
Someone in the know from northern hopefully will.
355 and 357 headed to Cleethorpes this morning to swap with 2 others coming back to Nottingham. They will swap again on Thursday.Does anybody know if the Barton branch has had the 153s swapped over today, or are they the same ones as last week?

Been suggested elsewhere that 319, 379 and 384 have already gone off lease so seems likely.153308 on its way upto Cleethorpes alone, imagine this will run solo on the last day of Barton line operations on Saturday?

153328, 331, 332 and 363 have all moved from Huddersfield to Newton Heath this afternoon as 5Z53
Sadly not they do end on Saturday 11th December 2021.I was told that the last East Midlands Railway Class 153 would run on Sunday 11th December 2021 on the Barton line, the fleetnumber being 153 308. Is this correct or will Class 153s be remaining with EMR?
So wait I don't understand. Is EMR running their last 153 tomorrow or not?Sadly not they do end on Saturday 11th December 2021.
Going into store very soon to long marston and ely. Mentioned further up this thread.
Also this day even though 153s remain in Wales.
Does see the end off the final br British rail era off 153 in service ie that can still run around in service ie discharging on track and also non prm modification either ie in its original form and design since 1994 when they became single units from the class 155. Also running on a branch line and not only that with old semaphore signalling and Manual gate crossing in the goxhill to Barton on humber areas.
Another era off the good old br tradition ends.
So wait I don't understand. Is EMR running their last 153 tomorrow or not?

Looks like 2F92 was the last one for 308 today. Showing as 43 late at Grimsby platform 3. The rest of the Barton services are now cancelled according to the EMR website.153308 on its own today - the last round trip is Bertie though so last chance to ride is 2F96 arrive Cleethorpes 2058 and then the unit goes ECS to Nottingham.
Interesting… The guard on the earlier round trip (ex Cleethorpes at 1254) said it should have been crewed up to 2F96 then bus for the last one. Mind you, if 308 burst it was all but academic. It just means I actually travelled on the last complete round trip - 308 seemed OK but rather slow accelerating during that one.Rumour has it that the 1550 from Barton was to be the last due to crewing difficulties. However, it "expired" at Great Coates and has now limped into the bay platform at Grimsby Town
It's been sickly all week to be fair.Interesting… The guard on the earlier round trip (ex Cleethorpes at 1254) said it should have been crewed up to 2F96 then bus for the last one.
