5Q86 1119 Ilford E.M.U.D to Newport Docks Simms around 35 late through and stopped at Bristol Parkway with 37800 proudly promoting on the side a Cross City Birmingham line 93, 323 sticker in which the 323s have on the side for Cross City line nostalgia due to 730 replacement hauling 321902 and 322482 for scrap. However 321902 and 322482 now for scrap at Newport.
Sadly another era is ending on the ex Northern and Anglia 321 units.
However 37800 does look good with the Cross City line 93 323 Sticker on it.
Below one of the cabs.
Thanks for this.

Does anyone know when was the last service worked by 322482, and its withdrawal date, please?

Many thanks

www.realtimetrains.co.uk shows a move 1205 Gascoigne Wood to Booths Masboro Rotherham take it. That it's the 321s from Gascoigne Wood for withdrawal.
Never understood why they went there in the first place. However though wonder where the rest will go.

321334 is the only one I'm aware of having actually been converted so far. They are (or perhaps were) getting a batch of 319s done as well.
The rosco announced a few months ago after 321334 was converted that 4 additional units were to be refurbished.

Supposedly at a Railway works - Doncaster or Wolverhampton

More info on this thread:

Sorry @TT-ONR-NRN i don’t know the unit numbers

The 319s are owned by Porterbrook. I doubt Eversholt will be getting them converted...

I had seen that there is a blanket 30mph speed restriction on the entire branch (don't know why, GA website doesn't say), and the train I saw had arrived almost 30mins late. It doesn't normally connect with the train I was on from Rayleigh. We were held briefly whilst it came into P1.
