When they are being transferred between ilford and old oak common do they go through the tunnel?
Unlikely. I don't know for certain but they're most likely dragged to Old Oak Common via the North London Line. When they are being transferred between ilford and old oak common do they go through the tunnel?
Correct, using a Europhoenix 37.Unlikely. I don't know for certain but they're most likely dragged to Old Oak Common via the North London Line.
Is there even a rail connection at the western portal yet?
Ive seen engineering trains on the track. So there must be a connection. I dont think the depot is connected but the gwml is.Is there even a rail connection at the western portal yet?
The OOC depot is connected as 345 test trains have been leaving there each day for the past few weeks.Ive seen engineering trains on the track. So there must be a connection. I dont think the depot is connected but the gwml is.
Its connected to the gwml but not directly to the crossrail core yet.The OOC depot is connected as 345 test trains have been leaving there each day for the past few weeks.

Doesn't actually say it is operationally wired or signalled yet, but the photos suggest the bulk of the OHLE is in place.Network Rail has successfully connected the existing rail network with the Elizabeth line tunnels at Pudding Mill Lane, Plumstead and Westbourne Park...

The track-work at Royal Oak portal looks a long way from finished, but it is sort of connected.About 6 weeks ago, Crossrail announced that Network Rail had completed the connections to the core at all 3 portals:

Yeah, its connected via the Engine and Carriage or Crossrail Depot Lines to the GWML that you use to reach Portobello Junction for the Central Operating Section.I don't believe the GWML has a Core connection either. I recall it being non-connected at some milestone gala semi-recently, and nothing since has indicated a change. TfL would be crowing about "the first test train fully east to west" I'm sure.

But yes the connection to the COS is still under possession.
Good spot all the original units are tread brakes on the leading axleSaw this picture on twitter earlier and noticed that the leading axle was now disc braked like every other one on the train, whereas up until now every 345 I've seen has a different leading axle (although I'm not sure if it is tread braked or just a more centrally located disc). Is this just an isolated case or is this change going to be seen across the fleet?

Are the 345s still working out of Liverpool Street and on any regular diagrammes please
Cheers do you have any diagrams for themThey are - but on slightly fewer diagrams than before as some have been moved to the west.
I would recommend just turning up at Liverpool Street or Stratford and waiting for a few minutes as they're on loads of diagrams. You shouldn't wait long before one comes.Cheers do you have any diagrams for them
I'd agree with what 70007 says and take a chance at Liverpool Street or Stratford.Cheers do you have any diagrams for them

MTR gets fined for cleanliness failings I believeHave they always shown the head code on the displays?
Also, how many train care staff members do they have? Four people with rubbish bags and litter pickers on this one and then a fifth with window cleaner polishing off any marks on the glass by the doors!
