Well, if it is the ex class 460's that are causing the issue then surely the Wimbledon Depot needs to do the same tinkering on the 458'5's as they did on the 458/0's or is it not that simple?

Nah I think the ex gats are doing fine now.I had 520+502 today and 520 was not well. They were still together for the 2152 Weybridge, which was probably a good move.Saw 503 and 530 but they had split up later in the day.Plus the odd ex gat.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

458533+458530 today.Seemed to be many ex gats around apart from 536.Also saw 502 and 520 on it's own.Must be fixed from yesterday. My debut on 530.Saw the 47 lying in wait @ Wimbledon. As I have also got up close to an ex 458/0 (458530) have noticed the big difference with the windows.

Yup I was on 530+531 (in the afternoon)...had probs with 530 as I have done with 459 units for the last three days.

Saw 536 with another /5 in clapped out yard and they were just coming out at 2050.

Last coach up yesterday was 67601.

Need the whole unit to test it. No point repairing a major electrical fault and then not testing it thoroughly as a unit.
As I understand it, some cars of 458501 went to Doncaster and some to Loughborough. Can anyone confirm this and what the split is please? Presume Brush would be doing the structural repairs on the DM and then send it on to Doncaster to join the rest for testing?

I had a 450 pair that day which developed door problems at Vauxhall, leading to the last coach of 8 to be locked out and lose six minutes (1022 Waterloo to Weybridge). Not a 459 which one would expect :P

What was the issue again at Feltham which saw the SDO changed to only open front 7 coaches? Was it signal sighting or something else?

I really don't have a clue what Feltham is all about as it used to be 8 car down road.Something to do with the beacon being moved but don't know why.Still stop in the same place.

Yeah I noticed that no short formations were shown. I myself got 458520(+458534) on the 1737 Waterloo to Hounslow, good to clear another unit :D. I believe that the full 10 were also used yesterday (Wednesday)?

504 was out with a gatex (532? not sure) and had some sort of problems with doors (or perhaps something else) on one coach with a taped cross on I take on all (4) passenger doors on 504's DMCO (could only see two doors from one side).Saw it at Vox(hall))up road (@5pm+) and all the orange lights on the side did come on but no passengers in taped up coach.

530 and 534? were together resting in clapped out yard.

The 458/5s will be stabled at Woking until the start of service tomorrow because of engineering works today.

I was suspecting that as the staines area is closed so no Woking to Waterloo stoppers via Staines (the ones normally departing P3 'bay' on a Sunday)

The pair of diagrams which includes the 1720 Waterloo to Reading went over to 450s from last Monday, but changed back to 458/0s on Friday and is the same again today.

Seems odd that diagrams are actually reverting to 458/0 at this stage. To the casual observer the Reading line is still very much dominated by 458/0s.

Still at least one 458/5 short today... And the 17:20 Waterloo to Reading is only a 4 coach 450

I was on it. No aircon in the rear coach.

No.I split it.The rear train was knackered.(450040) no aircon on whole 4 car unit as one set of aux's had gone down out of two. Also had a DMC set of motors not working.Had to take it to clapped out yard.I turned the lights off as passengers were getting confused on plat 19.Not sure of front unit number as I was in a bit of a hurry to split them.I had asked the guard of the arriving train (@1704) what the problem was and also found out myself by accessing the TMS although it didn't tell me about the motors on the CE DMC.

Passengers are not very tolerant at times and take it as personal although it's not meant to upset them.Train left slightly early (with permission) as it was well overcrowded and also taken off screens ten minutes before departure im told.

When I got 450040 to the yard 458015 was there.Im sure it hasn't moved in over four days as I saw it in the same spot on Friday.
