458533+458520 failed on the 2S19 0852 London Waterloo to Weybridge, not managing to leave Waterloo. Seen sitting right next to the Up Fast in Wimbledon Park about 11 hours later :D. Replaced by 450072 starting with the 2V29 1207 London Waterloo to London Waterloo.

Still didn't stop this interesting alteration:
18:37 London Waterloo to London Waterloo due 20:02

This train will be started from Clapham Junction.
This train will no longer call at London Waterloo (outward at 18:37), Vauxhall (outward at 18:42) and Queenstown Rd.Battersea (outward at 18:45).
Will be formed of 4 coaches instead of 10.
This is due to a train fault.

Wonder where they took it from? The long-standing suburban 450 diagram was short for the second day in a row (used 450115 yesterday, didn't see what it was today), while today that same unit took the place of a 455+456+456 formation on the 2M57 1916 London Waterloo to Chessington South.

533's taken a bang recently,it's probably still got a headache.

[Nothing to see here move along]Worked 531 as single then coupled to 535 yesterday,no probs and was giving the guard a few tips.RE doors in the middle stuff. and a few other things.Walked up got to cab, realised I left my key on chain in the middle as it wasn't in my bag, hence pelting it down to the middle to retrieve key with 30 secs to spare.Made it and off we went,no other probs.[/Nothing to see here move along]

Whether the toilets were working is unknown by me.

Another 2 458/5 diagrams running today, and finally it's an extra diagram on Windsor services. 458505 also noted out in service too.

Indeed. Starts and finishes at Strawberry Hill although if it splits/swaps during the day with other units I don't know.

Short formation on the 07.35 Feltham to Waterloo again this morning. Meanwhile 8015 sits seemingly forgotten about in Clapham yard. :(

458533+458510 on the 1828 Waterloo to Windsor.
1758 Waterloo to Windsor was 5 coaches instead of 10.
1737 Waterloo to Hounslow / 1818 Hounslow to Waterloo was cancelled due to a failure.

I noticed another 458/0 couple up to 47739 earlier, in the usual place. Can anyone else provide info about the numbers and the time of the move?

Some of the trains recently on the Reading - Waterloo route have just been single 4 car 458/0's. So I am presuming this is down to them being converted to 458/5 and also because there is a 458/0 unit that has done it's MPC which is sitting in Clapham Yard?

We've had regular short formations on Reading services for over a year now. Presumably this will continue until the situation stabilises with all the conversions done.

The short formations before though where just first thing in the morning before the peak time and after 8pm in the evening.

Now there seems to be short formations on any trains certainly after 9am from Reading and also after 2pm from Waterloo for which the services where previously 8 cars trains. These services where quite packed normally when 8 car trains either from or too Egham.

As an example the 09:12 from Reading last Monday was just a 4 car trains and by the time it got to Staines there was very little room, such that when it got to Clapham Junction it was almost to the point that people would have to sit in people's laps that where already sitting down.

I would not mind but there was both some class 455 and class 450's in Clapham yard not being used, so why make the passengers suffer? The 450's will be moving over to the Reading route at some point soon to work the route regularly, while the 458/5 rebuilds settle down on the Windsor and Hounslow routes.

Because when the train left Waterloo for Reading at 0720 there wouldn't have been any stock in Clapham Yard.

Actually, no, it's because SWT think it's funny when everyone can't get on the train, and they did it on purpose.

It probably is the first point that you made, but I would not put it past SWT to be the second point that you made though..... :)
