These test trains are cancelled this week.
730001 and 010 will move Oxley to Bletchley tomorrow with 011 and 012 moving down on Thursday.
If the above moves happen, how many units will still be at Oxley.

730004 is still with Alstom and they are using it to carry out various tests. There was a 730 at Euston yesterday morning but couldn't see which one as I was working in the next platform over. First time I've seen one that far south

Only 005 will remain at Oxley, Alstom have requested all signed off units be moved to Bletchley (9 units)
Maybe above is @SCDR_WMROnly 005 will remain at Oxley, Alstom have requested all signed off units be moved to Bletchley (9 units)
Ah I am behind, missed the first two, only know 001, 010 & 011. So which ones are at Bletchley so far ?.Only 011 moved today….there is only room at bletchley for 6 units, and the move to see two go to Camden tomorrow was scrapped.
There are no more planned moves to Bletchley at present.
The plan was for 7 to go to Bletchley, five have moved so far, and two to Camden…one unit was kept back at Oxley for modifications and until the battery powered 230 leaves the TMD there is no room for the seventh.

Does a 5 car 730 with 2+2 seating have more capacity than a 4 car 350/2 with 3+2 seating?

From a post up thread last week. Although 011 eventually came on its own (leaving behind 012) I do believe 001 did move with 010 on Wednesday (28/09/2022).These test trains are cancelled this week.

My belief is therefore that 730001, 730008, 730009, 730010 & 730011 are/were at Bletchley. With two to move on the Camden. Then four more to come from Oxley to Bletchley. So five are already at Bletchley - which 2 on top of 008/009/011 have moved and when please?
The above is correct!! They all ARE at Bletchley. The plans to move two units to Camden have been shelved. From a post up thread last week. Although 011 eventually came on its own (leaving behind 012) I do believe 001 did move with 010 on Wednesday (28/09/2022).

I’m sure the local, er, artists would love it if anything is stabled at Camden. Shelving the idea seems eminently sensible. The above is correct!! They all ARE at Bletchley. The plans to move two units to Camden have been shelved.
plain white 319s were dumped there for months earlier this year, don’t believe they were sprayed. As an LNR facility security is in their gift as well.I’m sure the local, er, artists would love it if anything is stabled at Camden. Shelving the idea seems eminently sensible.
I suppose that means only 7 can come to the WCML as that is the limit at Bletchley. Is the reason (allowed to be) known for Camden not being used ?.The above is correct!! They all ARE at Bletchley. The plans to move two units to Camden have been shelved.
Thanks very much PeterFrom a post up thread last week. Although 011 eventually came on its own (leaving behind 012) I do believe 001 did move with 010 on Wednesday (28/09/2022).

Ah thanks. I expect the arrival of the new Avanti units is delayed ?.The plans changed in the week.....at first it was thought that ALL accepted units had to depart Oxley by the end of the month as there is work due to start there imminently to prepare for the arrival of the new Avanti units, but then for some reason it became less critical to move out all of the 730's so fewer units ended up departing.

Well, the first one has not even started Mobile testing yet. It is still at Aycliffe doing static testing.Ah thanks. I expect the arrival of the new Avanti units is delayed ?.
Many thanks for that.Well, the first one has not even started Mobile testing yet. It is still at Aycliffe doing static testing.
Only 805001 and 805003 complete as units (no internal fitting, seats etc), 805001 due to move within next month to Old Dalby for testing.
It will be many months before Oxley receives one.
As it stands I believe 005 and 012 are at Oxley. These two will potentially be swapped with 008 and 009 at Bletchley next week, those two units are due back at Oxley for exam.
So which ones are still at Oxley?
I’m passing on Sat.
Thanks in advance.
Many thanks for that. Very helpful. As it stands I believe 005 and 012 are at Oxley. These two will potentially be swapped with 008 and 009 at Bletchley next week, those two units are due back at Oxley for exam.
001 and 010 have received some modifications and will be out on test tonight and tomorrow, possibly Wednesday too on the southern end of the WMCL.
002/6/7 have all been accepted by WMR...location unknown, 003 and 004 are still with Alstom, 004 has been out on test on the WCML, 003 is at Old Dalby I think.
730005 730012 are most certainly at Oxley was early on Tuesday 12th October around 8am. As I made my way to Wem via Shrewsbury for the scrap 508 move. Of course on a 170. Final trip. However both 730005 730012 are at Oxley confirmed. As it stands I believe 005 and 012 are at Oxley. WMT has also ordered Class 730 Aventra EMUs from Alstom. This order has changed from the original plan for 36x3-car and 45x5-car units, and now comprises 48x3-car and 36x5-car units. Three-car units will enter service first, initially on services out of Euston, before they are introduced in the West Midlands area from late 2023.
