Damn, was hoping the 2157 Paddington to Cardiff would be an 800!

This diagram is definitely operating today - 800011 working it - seems to be becoming the Cotswold Line's pet unit. I don't think another one has worked a passenger service on the route so far.

Just saw a pairing of 800's passing Slough Railcam working 1A20 1320 Weston-super-Mare - London Paddington. It should next be working 1B59 1637 London Paddington - Swansea.

Yep, 800023 was leading.

Came to a fairly sudden stop just outside Taplow, then after a lengthy pause (about a minute) pulled away on diesel. I didn't notice the engine running when we pulled into Reading though (on time), so possibly went back to electric on route.

EDIT: 1A17 1230 BRI-PAD is a 7-coach HST although I observed the earlier 2 diagrammed workings (1A07 & 1C09) as a 10-car IET.

Wouldn't bother going looking for a Cotswold Line 800 today - the 08.00/11.14 (fault on train) and 15.42/18.26 (no driver) are already cancelled.

Fingers crossed the 14.42/18.30 happens but this was cancelled last Sunday.
