325s on a road?

#3 it is.

I just realised I had a good entry for this :( It was XXXXX "County of Essex" (I genuinely do not know the unit number or even class)... in Carlisle.

Unit number? "County of Essex" is a loco! 47580 to be precise, formerly 47732. :)

I too have voted for number 3. That truly counts as a "chance shot."

Well #3 made me smile (I love how the caption reads 'I just happened to see this'.....:p) but the capture of the spark in Number 14 won me over this week.

I saw a Chunnel Shuttle engine on the back of a low loader on the motorway once, would have made a great entry to this compo.

I'm voting for #5 - great picture.

I'm going to be a bit of a killjoy here, but normal diagrammed trains on regular services don't count as chance shots in my opinion, same goes for the picture of Shrewsbury signal box which has been there for how many years?

I like the uniqueness of number 8, however 3 gets it! Sorry!

Water always adds to a rail photo and I am kinda biased when it comes to HSTs so it has to be number 10 for me.

Number three for me.

Votes in by 1900 next Monday please (I'm not doing POTW on Christmas Day!)
I had to time when to start the poll on another forum (which I am the co-ordinator) - luckily it's the 24th.

Thanks everybody :D

Luckily, I nearly always carry a camera - even more fortunate that I was there at that time, five minutes later and it would have been too late!
