Hello all,
Having read through a lot of these threads, I have seen a lot of people mention the different stock which will be heading for the National Railway Museum when it is taken out of service. I'd like to have a current list here so that people such as myself who are interested can have a look and see what the NRM will have to offer in a few years' time!
Here's the list. I'll update it regularly:
-Class 43 43002 "Sir Kenneth Grange"
-Class 91 + Mk4s*
-Class 313 313201
-Mk3s
-Class 66 66779 "Evening Star"
-Class 08 08616
-Class 303
-Class 47 47798 "Prince William"
-139 001 & 002
-A Class 321
-The remains of 390 033 that are at Crewe
-A Class 150/2
-A Class 159
-An S Stock
-MK4 DVT 82200
-Class 442 401 DT
-Class 92 locomotives
-Tyne & Wear Metro Vehicle
And plenty of others. I'll update the list with more soon.
As @gazthomas has said (Post #2), some of the items in this list may not be going to the NRM but it gives you a good idea.
-Peter
*The Class 91 is likely to be 91031 "Sir Henry Royce"
