Ooo interesting - hadn't noticed this come up. Fair enough

Ahh fair enough, must have heard some dodgy info
Possibly thinking about 58s? The middle axle on each bogie was known for being a little prone to slipping.

There's one photo on Flickr this evening of 018 at Toton on an Allelys trailer with a second lorry also on site, one of the gen sites suggests 018 is Longport bound although it's reported on WNXX that 018 has been taken to Loughborough, there is also a photo of 014 loaded for movement

** Todays suggestions, Wednesday, are that it's 014 to Longport, 004 & 018 to Loughborough

Not sure which one it was, I was on route back down the M1 yesterday afternoon and a low loaded EWS class 60 got on at Nottingham heading North.

Any confirmation of final destinations of these mate?

Thanks. No sign of restoration work having started yet, I assume. Is it visible from the main line, would you know?

It's been said that no work has yet been undertaken on any of the fourteen moved last June and that the eight including 064 will be used as parts donors, as no announcement has been made by DCR the future for all of them remains rather unclear

Reported on WNXX that 60014 has been moved inside at Longport for the re-engineering evaluation

DB have reportedly placed another 12 locos for sale with a closing date of 20th January

60012/032/036/037/048/052/068/077/078/084/089/093

I was having a look through to confirm how long the 13 DCR locos have been at Loughborough, it's now exactly a year since the last one arrived, and came across this sale notice for another 12, it would appear that they are all still in Toton Yard having had no takers

According to WNXX the evaluation has shown that CAT or MTU power units are viable for a re-engineering project should it happen.

But so far the only 're-engineering' there has been is to have parts of 60014 stripped for spares for the operational GB fleet

Looks like according to WNXX 012,32,36,37,48,52,68,77,78,84,89,93 have been put into WQDA pool. Weren't these offered for sale a while back?
Does anyone why DCR's 046 has been at Loughborough on repairs for so long, and if theirs even an estimate of when it's going to return?

I always consider 60s for scrap unless they are running. Especially out of service for so long. Miracles can happen though. What happens at longsight is the main thing.

Which one is WQDA?

They were in WQCA pool according to WNXX before being moved over. That one being ‘DB Cargo UK stored group 3’ either way, doesn’t look hopeful. Unless miracles do indeed happen!
I think their final hope may be in the hands of the Class 60 currently at Longport........

It was indeed, the new one is an awful lot more shiny though 8-)
I have it down as being in GWR Green previously. Is it now more BR Green, considering Mr Hosking's love of this livery? (if there is actually much difference between the 2)

Is this a positive sign that they are going all in with the conversion of this then? I know they'd found suitable engines to use but hadn't heard of any progress since
