I've just got back from a family get together. They are indeed going off left right and centre all over though!

We went to a very well organised display on a hilltop outside Hull. Because of its height overlooking the city, we had the benefit of watching the fireworks we had payed to see as well as everybody else's fireworks in the city :lol:

It does seem to have quietened down here a little though.

I believe its extra-crazy this year because Thursday was Diwali, Friday was Eid, and today is Guy Fawkes night.

Don't forget that the ban on setting off fireworks has been shortened by an hour tonight!

(But stop after midnight, or I'm calling the police :P )

I don't know where you live, but our force (Avon & Somerset) are very effective and actually did visit someone's house round here last night at 1am.

My mate and I were setting them off in him back garden, but because the rocket didn't come with a pipe to launch them from, we used a varse. Thet were fieinghigh, then falling to about 5 ft above peoples gardens! Iwas really cool! :D
