Arsenal are the same every year and I can't see it changing until Wenger goes, the way it's going they might not even manage top four

Well I hope they have a dodgy time between now and the replay - they couldn't win the first time, and we're always keen for a rematch

I guess you were too shocked that Hyde won on Monday night to post it on here.

Evo-Stik League Northern Premier - Premier Division

Hyde United 2-1 Buxton

This was indeed the case and I have only just recovered....

Two wins in three league matches must show something at least in the motivation to avoid yet another successive relegation. But they really do need to recreate their very good earlier seasons form which saw them in fourth place at the start of October, when they were able to win away at very good teams such as Salford City and Darlington.

Lost somewhere within Bank-Monument tube station,
It's been the most ridiculous season ever, hasn't it? Just when you think some semblance of order's been achieved, suddenly there's a new twist with every set of fixtures. It's actually got me back to following football after a six year break. To all those fans whinging about the lack of quality, well I'd rather take unpredictability over quality any day of the week. <D

And obviously, Leicester for the title please. :D

How can Liverpool beat and totally outplay City a few days after losing to them in the League Cup Final <D

Would Liverpool have rather the results were reversed and they won the LC rather than a meaningless victory in the Premiership ?

It was rather rich of Pellegrini to moan about having played on Wednesday in Ukraine and then on Sunday, considering Liverpool had played a European fixture on Thursday before also playing the same 120 minutes on the Sunday. I quite like Pellegrini but that was poor- they were just outplayed, simple as that.

No but I did enjoy my day out in Cardiff when we beat Man U in the league cup final. Rather get much needed points in the league at the moment, especially since it is just Man City. :D

I hope your train is delayed by a thousand hours

Your wishes were not granted

Why is there a glass panel at the bottom of the stairs in the upper tier? I assume it's to stop people tumbling over the edge? Did anyone ever fall off the edge? Seems a bit of a strange installation.

Oldham match against Swindon was call off today due to Boundary Park pitch wasn't playable (snow and waterlogged pitch doesn't help) funny thing is they forecast for Snow in Oldham area on Thursday and ground staff didn't bother putting cover on before Snow arrival yesterday morning.

Oldham stay three points draft from safety but Doncaster now sit 20th in table, I feel Oldham need to win two games in hand to keep hope of safety alive given teams like Fleetwood, Chesterfield and Shrewsbury started to hit forms lately.

I wonder if McLaren will get boot after Newcastle lost 3-1 to Bournemouth today?

Apparently Micah Richards has a 5 million release clause in his contract
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
5 million what exactly. Dog poos. Washers. Used condoms. Broken fridges
Disgraceful today. Even more disgraceful than normal

How can anyone spend in excess of 100 big ones and produce a team like that? No passion, no effort, no guts. If I were a Newcastle fan I'd be rightly furious. To be less popular than Mike Ashley takes some doing. I take my hat off to the guy.

I know Steve McLaren's nephew, I think I'd best not show him this thread! ;)

Unfortunately today's results were a disaster for York City. 96tommy - did you go? Would be a 'local' game for you these days!

His ego was very large when he was at Manchester City and I should well imagine that as he now thinks of himself as "a bigger fish in the pool" at your club, his ego will be even larger...

Southend 0 - 1 Chesterfield

Although our home form is still woeful things seem to be starting to turn our way a little. Just as I was thinking we'd get done in the last few minutes we were on the right end of a winning goal for once. And the players celebrated right in front of me :)

3 more wins and a couple of draws will do it I think. Especially if we avoid defeat to Oldham (and Doncaster) ....

Problem is who will they get to replace him?

With time ticking out, only one man is up for the job, local legend Alan Shearer, after-all he did well the last time he was roped in ;)

Winchester City 3...Swindon Supermarine 1 (Bentley pen 12, 75, Feeney 43; Morse 29)

Winchester City bounced back from two disappointing defeats with a vital win against their promotion rivals and clear the first hurdle in a month of vital games. Warren Bentley opened the scoring from the spot after 12 minutes but Supermarine got back into the game just before the half hour. Both sides had chances before Craig Feeney restored City's advantage just before half time. The second half saw more end-to-end play before Warren Bentley got his 50th of the season with 15 minutes remaining to seal the points. Next up is a cup semi-final at Fleet Town, before a trip to lowly Wantage.

Mangotsfield United 0...Banbury United 1

Slimbridge 2...Taunton Town 3

Evesham United 5...Larkhall Athletic 2

Tiverton Town 2...AFC Totton 1

Current Table

1. Banbury United P33 72pts
----------------------------------------
2. Cinderford Town P28 68pts
3. Winchester City P31 67pts
4. Swindon Supermarine P32 65pts
5. Taunton Town P29 61pts
----------------------------------------
6. North Leigh P31 57pts
7. Evesham United P32 57pts
8. Shortwood United P30 55pts
9. Tiverton Town P30 54pts

Top Scorers (League Only):
1. Warren Bentley (Winchester) 34
2. Lewis Powell (Taunton Town) 24
3. Ricky Johnson (Banbury Utd) 23
4. Nathaniel Sherborne (Totton) 18
5. Ethan Moore (Cinderford Town) 17

I must admit when I saw him do that I thought "there you go. Once a Blue always a Blue" :D

Great dive by Benteke there, no contact at all!

There was minimal contact, and another defeat for Crystal Palace who could yet get drawn into a relegation battle.

And what a load of waffle from LVG about Mata being, quite rightly, sent off!

David Moyes seems to be favourite

Abject bloody misery all weekend. Well apart from Palace losing which was the only bright thing about my football this weekend.
